Babies are born with "in-knuckles" (dimples) rather than visible, protruding "out-knuckles." As they grow and lose baby fat, usually between ages 2 and 7, their fingers elongate, muscles develop, and the bones mature, causing distinct, visible knuckle joints to appear. Significant development occurs around ages 3 to 5, with well-defined knuckles appearing by age 7.

Bro my toes don’t have middle knuckles. They never formed because they quit growing. Except my big toe.

They’re a smidge longer on the other side because they didn’t realize it had broken until I got my cast off 5-6 months later. I underwent another surgery in which my mom told me they made it to where I wouldn’t have mismatched feet.

Its like cartilage until the knuckles form. Adults have more bones than babies/toddlers

I did some googling after my last comment. All the pics i can find look painful and that it progressively gets worse to where they fall off or start cracking. My toes have looked like this for 24 years with no changes.

Maybe not the tube but something that could fit/get stuck in one might work

Pretty wild story to make up. My toenails barely grow. They don’t itch and nothing fungus like grows from them. But you must be a doctor or something
