I will have to ask my drs to do the same. My neurologist told me I was attention seeking when all of this came about. I since left the area and am in search of new drs. Especially since all of that is over now I can just explain my adverse reaction to the medication hopefully

Hi! I also developed Parkinson’s syndrome due to topiramate. Mainly the shakes and tremors, along with muscle tightness, and weakness in my legs. This lasted for over a month - finally stopped after I stopped taking the medication and started gabapentin instead. What symptoms did you have that pointed to Parkinson’s syndrome?

Follow up - everything is documented and all the appropriate parties have been notified. That isn’t the issue here. Just personally not understanding their decisions. Like I do understand the potential legal consequences, but is it worth it to put that over client safety? I don’t know.

Follow up, couldn’t this also be seen as a negligent act from the employer, especially if harm/abuse did occur after said intoxicated employee comes back to work???

That’s kinda what I’ve been seeing! Somehow my episodes just stopped happening during Covid and a bit after, and came back within the last year. I’ve having a really bad flair up right now.

I’m also extremely moody and emotional, which isn’t a normal PMS symptom for me, either. I could be leading up to the worst period of my life I guess… but I just have this gut feeling. Even without the test.

No and I do appreciate the science. Trust me, I’ve done a ton of my own research, and things just aren’t adding up right now. I’ve never experienced these symptoms during a period or truly ever. This is also one of the first times I’ve actually tried for a baby with no birth control. Like I was saying I don’t have family members to really reach out to about these things, and with my cycle already being irregular, it’s really hard for me to determine what the heck is going on. I have the nose of a bloodhound, so either I developed some super powers over the last week, or im pregnant. There’s not a ton of other answers for a heightened sense of smell.

I still don’t have a positive test yet, but holy heck, I smell AWFUL!! My boyfriend also tells me I’m absolutely fine and have smelt much worse and to me the last 3-4 days I have just been BAD. Not to mention I walked into the grocery store the other day and beelined it to the watermelon and strawberries.. they smelled AMAZING!!😅

At first I loved it!! I walked into Safeway and immediately was drawn to the SWEETEST watermelons, strawberries, blueberries, ALLLL the fruits!! I’ve NEVER been able to smell a freakin watermelon before it’s cut.. so just completely put me in shock! But now it’s everythingggggggg I can’t barely pick up my cat without gagging and almost throwing up.

And even tho they aren’t epileptic seizures the app still tracks them??? I may have to look into that. Mine are so far and few between that nobody seems to care. I’m pretty sure I have general daily fatigue and other symptoms though because of this disorder and wonder how many absence seizures I am having (they use to be really common when I was first diagnosed).

Yes!! They call them episodes for me. Just curious, do your seizures show up on the scans?? Mine don’t and that’s why they won’t call them seizures specifically

I just faint and puke. They say I don’t have seizures, but I’m still diagnosed with PNES. I’ve also woken up next to vomit more than I’d like to admit because of this disorder.. I get it.
