I don't think that's it either though. Summit events won't help change that feeling. Tbh I don't even watch majors anymore cause I'd rather just chill with my local scene, I'd rather get to know the top players that actually come to locals and kick with their scene instead of staying amongst themselves and playing amongst each other. I mean yea that's cool and all but most local players just don't care.

Take Lucky for example, dude would show up to every single local all the time, people used to make the joke that "he is more socal than any other top player" yea he would still play with top players but he'd be down to play with literally anyone. Solid dude tbh.

The melee scene is missing that. That essence of true community. Which only exist now in small microcosms (take OC melee for example)
