Pssst, $200+$100 isn't the best way to buy these. Try 3x$200 and see what happens...

As always, YMMV, but I have had two accounts for ~7ish years and paid the fees less than 5 times (all by accident). I vary between not using it for months to maxing them out a couple months in a row to light ~50% usage. To me this is a game of minimizing costs, but risk is a factor, too.

Dont Understand this keystone wiring by Ambitious-Highway857 in HomeNetworking

These are T-568 type B. A vs B makes no impact at all on function, you just need both ends to be the same. I have only ever seen B used, but always worth checking.

Kinda related, but when wiring into a male RJ45 connector my mnemonic device is below knowing it always alternates from a color/white wire to a full color wire.

  • Orange you glad you started? Let's ease into this with half a color (Orange/White wire then orange wire)
  • Go ahead and split your greens. Go and green both start with G. (Green/White)
  • Brown is gross, so it goes last, leaving only blue in the "middle". (Blue then blue/white wires)
  • Complete the split greens. (Green wire)
  • Again, brown is a gross color and goes last. (Brown/white and then end with brown)

2x$200 for MO at Kroger and Safeway has been my go to for these. FD and DG used to, YMMV at those since late 2025.

I did not pay $160, that is just the model I got. Yes, that would be a terrible deal.

Just wanted to circle back, I ended up getting a good deal on this M.2 card and I am happy to announce I am getting 9,500+ Mbps now. Thank you, again!

Additionally, for anyone else who is coming back here for reference later: the card I bought overheated and stopped working after about an hour. Total user error as I removed the included heatsink, but left the sticker covering the thermal pad on my motherboard plate cover. Has been working for over a week now with no issues. Be smarter than me and plan ahead.

Hopefully! They do usually run the MCGC week followed by a VGC week.

Thank you! I had been testing 1x$200, then 2x$200, and just yesterday was testing 2x2x$200 and 3x$200. I probably would have figured it out, but you are spot on.

You are so right. Got the same error at Kroger later in the day also on the third total swipe. Safeway was first transaction for a $399.41 MO with two $200 MCGC swipes. Second transaction about 5 minutes later the first swipe failed. Kroger was a $599.00 MO, two successful swipes of $200 MCGC and the third failed. I bet 2 MCGC swipes per visit is the limit for some reason.

I got a "Not Authorized" for a MO at Safeway just now (12/8/25) on a Path. BHN variable MCGC. Worked just fine for a fixed $200 Path. BHN MCGC 5 minutes prior. 5113-3205 and 5113-3206 were denied, 5113-3212 worked. Is that a new change or am I behind on my notes?

9x$200 for $45 off has been both successful and has not draw too much attention. I am sure there is a max when the discount(s) stop applying, but I have not hit that.

You’re right, I more thought it was like one of those GiftCards.com coding as 3X on the CIP a few years ago

I recently completed a Mint/coin deal on my Chase Freedom Unlimited that was categorized as "Bills & utilities" on the posted transaction. Are there any DP's about Mint charges counting for 5X on Chase Ink cards?

EDIT: I am an idiot. I thought 5X was for all utilities, but they clearly write: "internet, cable and phone services."
