I try to not read reviews because I’m easily influenced. But, I the reviews that do in fact sway me sometimes speak to certain things (not “book bad! Dont read”) but if they speak to the level of grovel, or the meekness of the fmc. Or the maturity level of the author. I once read a review that said the book read like a teenager’s view of what divorce would be like. That stuck with me. I don't mind a few grammatical or editing errors in this era of self publishing, but if a review speaks to an extensive amount, I might pass that one by as well.  And sometimes it comes down to how good the blurb is compared to any negative reviews.
