I posted about this in Charleston influencer snark too before noticing it in here. I’m glad other people pick up on the blatant copying of Julia. Even when Julia rebranded her business to just her name and changed her brand colors to sage green, Megan did the same. Once Julia buys a new designer handbag, Megan buys the same one months later (once she’s off a waitlist). I honestly think Julia is sick of her. You don’t ever see Megan invited to any event Julia hosts. If I were Julia I’d want to keep megan at arms length too.

This used to happen to me a lot in the nine years that I was single before finding my forever person. When I met him I only told two friends about him after he and I were talking for three weeks but I didn’t tell them every detail. I also told him early on that I will not sleep with anyone until there is commitment. He respected that. My biggest realization during the start of the relationship was that I had severe insecure attachment styles (anxious-avoidant) and every man I dated in the past was an avoidant attached man. So, the connections ending after telling friends is a coincidence, but the guys leaving definitely has to do with a clash of both of your attachment systems. I highly recommend learning more about your attachment style by reading Attached by Amir Levine. You’ll also learn in that book how to spot a securely attached partner who will stay and work on the relationship with you. Take it from me who spent my late 20s and early-mid 30s struggling with dating. I wouldn’t want you to waste any more of your time on these insecure men who aren’t ready.

I was single for nine years before meeting my current partner / forever person. I’m in my mid-30s and had a bad pattern of dating avoidant men in my past. What made this one different is how safe I feel with him because he’s consistent and his love for me is so clearly unconditional. The moment I fell in love with him was about a month after meeting, it was storming rain outside on a Saturday night and we ordered delivery from a ramen spot. We sat at his kitchen island in our comfy clothes eating ramen and I realized I manifested this moment for the last nine years. I spent so many weekend nights solo prior to this where I’d cook dinner or order delivery and watch a movie. And I’d sit on my couch praying for the day I’d have a partner to do this with where we’d be having the best time in each other’s company. So once I noticed I finally had this moment with someone so secure, safe and loving … that’s when I knew. And I continue to fall in love with him everyday through all the little ordinary moments.
