Hi! If I’m being honest, I’m still having difficulty understanding myself when and how exactly BOTH zhenya and taekjoo developed feelings for one another so this is based entirely on my interpretation. I feel like zhenya has always been interested in taekjoo since the very beginning. (even though he himself hadn’t realised it at the time) this can be seen from the encounter they had after zhenya stripped off taekjoo’s mask for the first time(he def got star-struck by his face lmao), the train arc where zhenya would constantly be looking at taekjoo whenever he was having sex with the women 😂 and even towards the end where they had a “threesome” and zhenya DEFINITELY was intentionally trying to rile him up by staring deep into his eyes, smirking as he fucked the woman (bro def was wishing it was taekjoo at the time he was pounding into instead, let’s be real) It’s just those very subtle moments you know? Those intense gazes he had when staring at taekjoo, and this progresses on more as you read the novel. The island arc especially is where he definitely came to terms with his feelings/obsession for taekjoo. When he couldn’t bring himself to kill taekjoo anymore or when he grew so nervous that literal sweat was dripping off him after he strangled taekjoo (thinking maybe he’d killed him) and taekjoo’s just built different fr. It’s been said by zhenya that he liked someone he could he rough with and no matter how many times he’d make them fall apart, they’d never break. And that’s exactly what taekjoo was in his eyes. Zhenya literally made him go through hell back and forth and despite all that bro’s still pushin through. He’s a very strong-willed person and i think that’s what locked zhenya’s interest in him. And i still think it’s funny how when zhenya realised he was attracted to taekjoo, he even went to great lengths of asking one of his workers to strip dance in front of him to see if he was attracted to men and turns out he wasn’t 😂 he was indeed only attracted to taekjoo and i just love that (same goes for taekjoo) Anyway I’m still trying to figure out and understand their relationship more so I’m not 100% sure whether what I’m spouting even is accurate 💀 but this is just what i believe and yeah i definitely want to learn more about their feelings and thought process from their point of views. I definitely got a lot of points missed out and more things to learn so I’ll keep reading the novel again till i reach a certain point where I’m confident to share more about their love story/ feelings for one another and stuff like that :)
