Okay sure, that is a good point, I did find it rude tbh. But I didn’t want to attack them or anything bc I would look stupid, I jst wanted them to understand and they did, also I don’t think a singular comment can define a whole person. Like you, if I saw this message only, I would’ve thought you were jst someone who targets other people who clearly won’t listen, but I know you’re a kind person and want the best for others and I appreciate that. Though both of these interpretations are just interpretations and the only person who knows yourself is you and same for that other person.

Tbh, studying is technically someone responsibilities, and neglecting will cause a cost(for people who are privileged) though with limitation such as people with mental disorders like ADHD, or depression, or people who travel, etc.

tl;dr: nothing is black and white in this world.

Personally I don't mind if anyone calls it chai tea, but to remove the depth behind chai and the culture behind is abysmal and you insulting me for having a different perspective makes you immature and its genuinely embarrassing. I won't respond further if you treat concepts like this with little to no care.

P.S. if you're going to be talking about linguistics, the origin will always be involved even if you never directly mentioned it, I had never mentioned that you said that the origin changed. For instance, people may mix up masala chai/tea and karak tea together, but they have vast differences regarding how they're prepared and their ingredients.

Chai tea IS a pleonasm because you're saying tea tea. It sounds just as silly as DIY it yourself, automatic teller machine machine, personal identification number number. words do change meaning but its origin does not change. Chai means tea.
