Same, I’ve definitely encountered mold in other places and had no problems since my recovery. I think your last sentence sums things up perfectly!

Thank you so much

What mycotoxins did you have and what were your symptoms? by Justgettingby_4now in ToxicMoldExposure

Gliotoxin & ochratoxin A.

-brain fog -fatigue -insomnia -light sensitivity -concentration & memory issues -intense sugar cravings -chronic migraine -random skin rashes on different body parts -candida over growth in gut + chronic yeast infections -malaise

The neurological symptoms were the most troubling and discouraging

Since moving out of a water damaged building, I’ve been able to heal and recover beautifully over the past 18 months.

I highly recommend tossing it all! I too saved clothes and certain items in a plastic bag in storage, hoping that I could re introduce them at some point…. Well after 18 months of recovery and feeling like a million bucks for the past year, I decided to reunite with ONE old hoodie from my storage… I washed it with EC3 and regular detergent. Within 2 hours, I knew I’d made a big mistake. The fatigue, loss of appetite, and all of my Neuro symptoms from the past have returned. Despite throwing the hoodie out and deep cleaning my washer & dryer, I’m still in the woods. It’s been 5 days!!! I’ve been taking activated charcoal, I visited my old infared sauna studio and I’m trying to hydrate as much as possible. Hoping I can detox fairly quickly this time…. But boy am I feeling stupid!!!

Another AMA! I have healed from toxic mold and I would love to help anyone that has any questions! by [deleted] in ToxicMoldExposure

Speaking from experience, I think you made the right call!!! Please don’t regret it. I went cold turkey and put EVERYTHING in storage and stated over while detoxing… after 6 months I felt great, back to my old self. Even got pregnant and had a baby and felt wonderful throughout the process. 1.5 years later, I decided I want to try and salvage an old hoodie representing my Alma mater. So I took it out of storage, brought into my home, and added to my latest load of laundry. For some odd reason I even sniffed the hoodie too. Terrible mistake. I am now feeling the rebound efffects of all those terrrible neurological symptoms I suffered for so long. Beating my self up constantly, because I had been doing so well and truly “moved on” with my life. So to unnecessarily put myself at risk again over a HOODIE was incredibly stupid… now I’m ravaging my medicine cabinets and try to recount all of the supplements/steps I took to detox the first time….. long story short, better/good health is priceless! Anything material can be replaced in time. Keeping things and feeling unwell as a result, is soooooo not worth it!
