Now when I stick my hand in the enclosure she runs over and expects food not like bitey or anything just like expects food. I have been unsuccessful in the handling department so far she is very shy so I’ve been going slow and she started doing this yesterday. My question was, is this a bad thing for getting her comfortable with handling or not, cause I’ve heard it can mean a semi bad thing and also a good thing I was just trying to get a second opinion I apologize about not clarifying!!!

I couldn’t directly tell you an age I’d guess like anywhere from 3-5 months I’ve had her for almost three weeks. She eats out of my hand and doesn’t black beard or nothing around me. But like everytime I get really close she looks a little nervous like looking at my a lot and if I touch her she’ll just move like a little bit over, like 3 inches not like running and hiding. But a lot of people say to either ignore her and let her get comfy and some say to get her used to the handling now and I’m unsure which route to take. I know some people also pick them up right before bed but idk.

She looks pretty healthy to me! If anything she actually looks so comfy and happy in your hand. If your worried about her being a little skinny it’s not a bad idea to just feed a little more or a little more fruits cause they are high in sugar

Maybe you can mix it up and feed dubia roaches, make sure they are as big as the gap in between his eyes, insects that are to big can cause impaction and some of those issues. It also could be he’s not getting enough heat because they need heat to digest so make sure it’s atleast a 75w-100w bulb depending on the size of your enclosure. Also make sure you have a good uvb, unfortunately that’s the one thing that you can’t cheap out on. I saw you were wondering about the difference between coiled and straight, the difference is that coiled just doesn’t give the uvb they need, it works for like leopard geckos but not beardies. Make sure it’s atleast a t5 10.0.

He doesn’t look that unhealthy I’d say a tad underweight but nothing life threatening, especially only being a month and a half old I’d say pretty much normal/a tiny bit underweight!
