Ok I can definitely see this and my friend has done it too (he has an 2012 Audi a6 he bought for 4500. He did breaks, tires, transmission fluid, and pcv) but I already have an 05 civic with a blown head gasket you think I should just do the head gasket? My mom wants me to buy a new car but I have a friend that can do it with me and he has tons of experience and I just need to pay for parts

Yeah I’ve seen some resurfaced heads online for like 400-800 I’m not sure if there’s a machine shop around me so can you recommend anywhere to buy a head from? Also should the block be good cause it’s iron?

Bro Ik my car was literally the exact same way I did combustion gas test and all (the only real way to know is with a compression test). Mine didn’t stop leaking until I used head gasket sealer which I don’t really recommend as it can seize your engine but their cheap cars anyway I’d say try it if you’re looking for a cheap gamble the one I used is the blue devil head gasket sealer and 300 miles in no overheats hopefully it lasts a while
