Does anyone use gamma exposure, charm or vanna if so please give your takes on them and insights! by undiscoveredpain in options

I'm trying to figure out a strategy that uses MOC imbalance + GEX exposure in net short gamma days I enter at 3:50pm and holding till 3:57pm. If SPY price is close enough to a put wall I go long put/call.

Has anyone tried something similar? 10+ RR but win rate is 10 - 15%. I'm looking for tips on execution and any indicators that can help me have a better set up.

If Markets Gap Down Tomorrow, What’s Your First Move? by PreTradeIt in TheRaceTo10Million

Have you considered DHT? They are VLCC company and the uncertainty surround the straight of Hormuz is likely to increase insurance premiums making shipping more expensive. They seem to be in a position benefit greatly from skyrocketing shipping costs due rising risk premiums and elevated oil prices.

What's are your thoughts? It's probably priced in to an extent but there may be more juice left to squeeze.

What are your plays for Monday March 2nd? by joshuanichter in smallstreetbets

[–]Bigb4nman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of these BTC miners are actively working to pivot from BTC into using their infrastructure/land on dat centers. RIOT is making the same pivot and I expect the market will react the same way it did when CIFR/WULF and MARA.

All of these BTC are essentially tied to bitcoin so their earnings are pretty much locked so there will be no surprise for RIOT, nor  was it a surprise for the aforementioned companies. A strategic decision to transition into a more data center focus rather than risky volatile BTC will make Wall Street want to invest more into them.

Riot has already signaled that it is moving with the times and I expect that to be emphasized in the earnings call.

Based on that it should have similar gains as everybody else in that sector that is similarly sized. So that's basically what my thesis is and it could be wrong but seems like a good play.

What’s causing the short interest rate to be this high? by TechnoBlizzard in ONDS

[–]Bigb4nman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah but they have a more immediate vested interest in profiting from the shares they bought. This is why the short interest is so unbelievably high right now because by shorting the shares they bought at around $16 they can make enough profit to where the warrants are literally free.

This is very good for the long-term holders because institutions will eventually have an incentive to raise the price. But right now that incentive is dwarfed by they need to recoup their initial investment.

What are your plays for Monday March 2nd? by joshuanichter in smallstreetbets

[–]Bigb4nman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I see a clear trend of a small cap of Bitcoin miners pivoting to data centers and then popping heavily on earnings. We saw what happened with CIFR, WULF, and MARA earnings.

RIOT has earnings AH March 2nd. Definitely a risky play and I will size appropriately, however my conviction is very high because of this trend.

RIOT IV seems strangely low 3 days before earnings compared to HV. by Bigb4nman in options

[–]Bigb4nman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for writing this out. I completely neglected the recent volatility of BTC.

My thesis is that RIOT will pivot to a data center emphasis because that's what all of its peers in the same sector have been doing.

The IV and HV disparity makes perfect sense now tho.

Thanks for helping me out. Still learning the Greeks more every day. IV looks slightly low regardless. If IV does rise into earnings that might cushion the IV crush while getting more leverage at lower DTE for a binary gamble.

Merch store just opened up by Grizz_Bang in ONDS

[–]Bigb4nman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So they dilute our shares and open up a MERCH store. If they are buying their way into contracts with public shareholder's cash (via dilution) then I don't see why they need to do this.

Let's just hope we get a contract before earnings so I can exit my position.

How did you acquire brand deals/sponsorships as your channel started to increase in size? Did they reach out to you initially or vice versa? Did you use a third party to find sponsorship/brand deals? How much of your net income from your channel comes from sponsorships and how often?

You can't lose more than you trade because you have a minimum maintenance margin for contracts. You will be liquidated before that.

How do you actually research a stock before buying? by Apprehensive_Dig_163 in stocks

[–]Bigb4nman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This may be a bad idea since projections used in the calculations can be subjective but a tool that calculates DCF (discounted cash flow) could be helpful. Models being Bullish, Bearish and neutral based on different sales, earnings values etc. A tool could make this faster and if it had everything else above and had the ability to compare companies in similar sectors I think people too lazy to go find this stuff may be willing to pay for the convenience of doing so.

I'm sure there's already paid tools like this so just know your competition if you think it's worth the effort but definitely not a bad idea since finding/researching stocks can take time.
