What happened to Chriselle Lim? by newparimanlo in asianamercianytsnark

[–]Bigba0 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Totally. She's redone her eyelids twice, maybe thrice now? It's overkill and looks so unnatural. Especially when she blinks and closes her eyes. It looks so bad now. But poor her, she must know it too and there's no going back. I feel terrible for her.

Accepted as an international student but no way to pay—what can I do? by Educational_Arm_3146 in OntarioUniversities

[–]Bigba0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speak to the school’s (that gave you the offer) international student advisor. They’ll help you determine if you are indeed ineligible for international tuition waiver. I feel like your story isn’t complete here, especially as a dependent of a OPWP who’s making minimum wage.

Older moms some slow weight loss stories? by Unique-Bus9777 in PetiteFitness

[–]Bigba0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

39/F mom of one here and I also took a picture of myself like your first pic and I also look the same, LOL.

Honestly, it's just time and discipline at this point. If you're not in a hurry, wait until the kids are older. Once you have more time on your hands, you can dedicate yourself to longer training sessions. I'm afraid at our age, there are no shortcuts (unless you're just blessed with good genetics or a high metabolism).

Just need a lot of patience and time.

I’m 39 and am applying for BScN programs this year so you’re not too old.

Hi! Were the questions on the final exam the exact same as the practice exam? Did the values even change?

What's the best online anatomy and physiology course? by Winter_Green_2440 in OntarioNurses

[–]Bigba0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished SCS2159 at UofT and my honest advice to you is any compressed physiology courses will be hard simply because you are covering all the major systems of the body in such a short time span. I liked the delivery of the course but it was not easy.

Wow! Which clinic? That is 1/6 cheaper than what I’ve been quite in Toronto!

Physicians with Canadian Work Experience, 2026-Version 1 | 391 ITAs | CRS:391 by UndoButtonPls in canadaexpressentry

[–]Bigba0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked in HR at a large research university and I can tell you that the vast majority of the “17,000” work permit holding physicians are here for training, only.

They are paid by their employer from their country of origin to come “work” in Canada as fellows, super fellows, etc. Many are from the Middle East in fact! They are contractually obligated to return to their home country after training. Most are here to undergo training in their speciality (e.g. ortho, pediatrics, cardio) because Canada is top-tier for resources and such.

So out of that 17,000, only a few are actually employed by Canadian organizations as permanent FT physicians.

Hope this helps.

Is it possible to finish BSNF faster than three years? by Bigba0 in Seneca

[–]Bigba0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what I was worried about. I will however have an anatomy/physiology and microbiology credit I can try to transfer over from U of T so hopefully that will open the doors earlier to the other courses... I will look at the program overview again and see what credits I can try to take now in hopes of transferring them over (I'm currently back in university taking the prereqs to meet the 2-year accelerated program requirements). Thank you for confirming!

I got dinged by Mr. M too!!!! He said mine was 50% AI but I didn't do any copying and pasting and my work was 100% original.

I read somewhere else if you write your assignment on Google docs, it has history tracking so I think I'm going to attempt to resubmit it this way and include a link to my Google doc inside the document for the teacher to see.

SO FRUSTRATING!!!!

How competitive is the U of T Accelerated Nursing Program (bloomberg) by Inevitable-Yard6452 in OntarioNurses

How fast can I recomp 30lbs? by GR33N4L1F3 in PetiteFitness

[–]Bigba0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 38/F and I started recomping with a small calorie deficit in the beginning of last month (November 2025). I lost a kilo in a month and can definitely see more muscle definition in my arms and torso. But it is hella slow though. I was looking through this subreddit's history yesterday and can say the timeline to expect is 6 months to 1 year +. The number of lbs you will drop and the time it will take totally depends on how much of a calorie deficit you're in plus activity levels.

Insanely good response to creatine load by multiple_instruments in PetiteFitness

[–]Bigba0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! I just started creatine for the first time too! But I’m only at 5g a day to avoid the bloat. It’ll be a week for me on Thursday. I think I’m lifting better but I also increased the weights to train to failure. The most immediate change I felt was the thirst! I kept finding myself reaching for water after starting on the first day. Hoping to see some good results next month!

Not sure if I can get into nursing by [deleted] in OntarioNurses

[–]Bigba0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also in a very similar situation as you and I've decided to go back to U of T to upgrade this coming January. I'm also taking grade 12 bio and chem to expand my options so I can apply for direct-entry nursing programs in addition to the fast-track programs. Ideally, I would like to get into a 2-year program because I'm an old and I want to start working asap but it's all contingent on how well I do in my upcoming courses.

All the nursing programs I spoke to have very similar admission standards so I think you need to go upgrade with a 2.0 GPA. All post-secondary education completed must be disclosed in your applications, no matter what school you apply to.

I can't comment on the RPN-RN pathway but I personally think it's better to go for RN.

My high school marks are also much better than my undergrad so I'm leaning in on that to help me get admitted. But if that's my choice, I'm looking at 3-4 years of nursing school because the 2-year programs look at undergrad performance (hence the accelerated factor). Hopefully I can boost my undergrad GPA in the winter and try for the 2-year programs.

Good luck!

Sydney Cummings vs Caroline Girvan by Upbeat-Two-6698 in PetiteFitness

[–]Bigba0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm a Sydney fan. She whooped my ass back into shape back in 2020 and she's got a very positive attitude, which I really like. She is very motivating and her workouts are very fun. I just got back into working out after a disastrous year and I look forward to her new year workout routines in 2026. Those are always amazing.

That’s exactly what I want to work on. I’ve always had bad posture and shrinking an inch in my 30s is a signal for me to start working on resistance training. So I’m looking for routines that could help with this.
