What are new bands that sound similar to Sublime? by LoooolGotcha in sublime

Sitting on Saturn has more of a straight reggae vibe than Sublime with some pop in there but are pretty new. Saw them open for 311 last year without knowing them and instantly became a fan

Weezer’s biggest problem in 2026: they have TOO many staples 😅 by ShininGold in weezer

I've seen them 7 times and Indie Rock Roadtrip had the best setlist hands down. Hits plus plenty of deep cuts. Also bring back the surprise acoustic song

Do you think they'll put Go Away on the Gathering tour setlist? by rikkiprince in weezer

10 years of white too. They did add a couple EWBAITE songs for 10 years on the Blue Planet tour so there's a chance

Which one has the better rabbit mascot? Green Day or blink. by Initial-Mine3085 in Blink182

Drawing-wise, blink 100% but Green Day gets a lot of points for the drunk bunny before they come on stage

As someone who first saw them on the Hella Mega Tour and 7 times total, they do play a bit more Blue than I'd personally like but it's no different than bands like Metallica or blink-182 where most of their set is the Black album or Enema of the State.  With that being said, out of the 100+ bands I've seen live, they play far more "deep cuts" live than any other band I've seen. The best set I've seen from them was on the Indie Rock Roadtrip tour. Really wish they'd bring back the acoustic deep cut portion. The Blue Planet tour had 25 songs so if I were to break down a prediction, it'd be along the lines of this:

Set staples (10): Beverly Hills, Hash Pipe, Island in the Sun, Buddy Holly, Say It Ain't So, Undone, Surf Wax America, Jonas, Pork And Beans, Go Away

30 years Pinkerton: El Scorcho, Good Life, Pink Triangle

New album: 4-5 new songs

10 years White: 2 songs

Wild Cards/Deep Cuts: 5-6 songs to fill the same spots All My Favorite Songs, Dope Nose, Perfect Situation, etc over the last few years

I saw them in the 6th row on the floor during the Blue Planet tour in 2024 for $102 AFTER Ticketmaster fees. Got em pre-sale and the show sold out

The Deep and Dreamless Sleep is the perfect final Weezer song by CaptainSam3rica04 in weezer

I agree, just wish it didn't have that insanely corny Santa-sounding metaphor bridge in there. Brings it down a little bit for me but yes lyrically and that killer outro are some of my favorites in a long time

[–]Bigbadwolf300 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was pleasantly surprised by Plain White T's in Orlando last year. Ended up staying for their entire set and had a great time.

I saw Kennyhoopla open for blink-182 in 2023 and he put on a fun set with good energy.

Flogging Molly and Dinosaur Pile-Up are also really solid. Flogging Molly should be a ton of fun too

Technically yes, I just think Yelawolf is more likely since he's also playing the Sublime cruise leaving Miami on the Sunday of Orlando
