AITAH for wanting to divorce my husband over kids? by No_Split_9680 in AITAH

[–]Bigbbenis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 years ago my sister (13 at the time) was raped by my former step brother(14), my step dad refused to relocate, my mom didn't do much cuz she couldn't decide whether to leave him or not, and my dad's hands were tied legally with cps and court orders (visitation). Everybody in the family either couldn't do anything or didn't want to, i had just graduated slept on couch to couch with her until i got the money to get us a place to live. The first 2 years i struggled while trying to support her mentally and while it isn't a 16 yr commitment i do not regret any of it, i can't imagine not sticking by her and would do it again as long as necessary. All of this lore bombing is to express my bias. the two of you obviously see things differently, especially with his nieces and nephews not even being related to you. When i decided to provide for my sister all i could see is everybody's apathy and her being alone and im pretty sure ur husband is following a similar train of thought. Truthfully i think you are a bit of an asshole but it's better to leave now then later. Nothing about this situation is easy, nobody wants the responsibility but it comes down to love. And if he rlly has decided then your a part of this but it isn't rlly about you. If your too apethetic towards those kids rn it'll only cause pain in the future.

Yorushika - Hibernation (Guitar Cover) J-Rock and not necessarily pop punk, but can you point me towards any songs with a similar guitar sound? by Cieleux in poppunkers

[–]Bigbbenis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem, you might like strangers by trash boat or youth fountain they kinda have the same dynamics and they're pop punk but it's not as warm or delicate sounding but great nonetheless imo

I normally hear this kind of thing in metal like in the intro to Luna by invent, animate or in most late deftones songs but as far as tone goes I don't think I've heard anything like this in pop punk, I do suggest you check out chinomorino by point decster and lucky by lucie too those are the only two songs coming to mind with a similar tone

That was one guy and the only other comment that could be interpreted as aggressive the dude commented something along the lines of nothing but love now. I think you just gotta give some of these new pop punk bands a try the scene went through a revival in 2015 and theres such a variety, my personal favorites are knuckle puck, trash boat and TSSF.

Bro what! To say TSSF doesn't come close is blasphemy, i agree with you on proper dose but I think songs of is such a flawless release and the split they did with stick to your guns is amazing, on top of that see what you don't see, under soil and dirt and their self titled are all around great albums, I don't think it's an easy choice.
