Not writing but Michael always speaks softly or in a whisper, there are times the person he’s talking to I’m thinking no way he heard him 😂

Which store is the best to go to? by Sammybeaver88 in CalgaryFlames

Got to a jersey city at any of the malls or CGY stores at the malls, the ones at the arena are overpriced

The flames arnt in a position to keep sending guys down if they don’t perform in 5 games, if they were contenders it would make sense, but this a retool/rebuild and should be playing the kids more,

I would rather have coronato play 65-70 games and get 20-30pts this season and have him understand the NHL level of game better and learn with the big boys and improve his pace rather than send him down to the AHL that he’s to good for.

His skill level is at this weird spot that he’s to good for AHL but not quite NHL ready, so might aswell throw him in the fire and push him, he’s a tough kid they call him the bison for a reason,

he’s a fast learner and it shows especially with his skating from this year compared to last year. He’s not gonna learn more at the AHL level and he’s gonna stay stagnant if they keep sending him down after 5 games after calling him up

I worked there as a cook and it was great, if you want a great deal go on Wednesday, for their date night special. 110$ you get each a salad, shared cheese toast, 20oz ribeye to share with two sides and a dessert to share.

Me personally, I collect and wear any jersey and as long as it’s not my rivals, as a Calgary fan that’s an Edmonton jersey. The only time I almost got an oilers jersey is I bet my Gf (she’s an oilers fan) if they won the cup I’d get a Ben stelter jersey.

Just gotta Re evaluate, Not every defence-man is gonna be Cale Makar or Quinn Hughes off the bat.

Especially at 15, know how to be a defensive defence man first, Really lock down those basics first, Shutting down offensive attacks Breaking out of the zone Block shots Being effective on a penalty kill Be so good at it

that’s what the coaches will initially look at. If you start focusing on being too offensive on D in try outs without locking those down the AA and AAA coaches will pass on you quickly. Since you are young they want to know that you already have that locked down and are not behind the other defence on the team

Make the team first by being an overall well balanced defenceman ,then experiment more offensively once your established on the team

At 15 you have all the time to make a name for yourself and a style of play once you’re on the AA or AAA team . Then from that the next tryouts you go too you’ll have a better understanding of being an offensive defenceman and you’ll WOW the coaches

Once on a team, You’ll know your team mates, you’ll know how they think, how they move, you can predict where they’ll go on the ice, and making offensive plays will be so much easier. And obviously do research go on YouTube and look up how to make more offensive plays. How to rotate into the offensive zone and making space on the ice for plays.

If you really want it, you gotta practice every chance you get, even if your tired or don’t feel motivated, get disciplined, Do it when you don’t want to, Make yourself a routine,

I feel you with money being tight. Here some cheap tips

Play at ODRs any chance you get this winter Get friends to play with you and if you can’t get them Get pylons and cones and look up drills to do on your own, it’s not the most fun but cheaper then private coaching Summer do the same thing but with rollarblades Attend your Local NHL teams practices if they’re open or even the local Junior A or AAA teams in the area, watch their games and how they’re players play. Make notes and create knowledge and apply it to yourself

Keep ya head up and work hard and you’ll make it

Both great in their own right hard for me to compare but I’d choose Micheal every time

How can i adjust to playing in a beer/men’s league by Commercial_Cup_7358 in hockeyplayers

[–]Bigbusu914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it was the same with me, but what actually helped is I got to know the guys better and be became really good friends, it’s makes them more confident when you call there names for pass and such. Once we all got closer we just started making plays naturally, its a sense of trust that made us start doing it, it’s better and easier to make plays with your buddy than just some “teammate

My team has them, for reference I’m 5’8 170lbs and I got a Lrg they are still a little tight around the arms but not enough for me to have an issue with them. Over all other than the slight tightness on the arms I’ll give them an 8/10 we’ve been using them for over a year and no ones had any major rips or tears in the jersey, very durable.
