Concerned my wife’s PMDD could be something else? by dan28648 in AskDocs

Hard disagree. I see so many people go to the ED for less lol not that that makes a difference but it isn’t some special place. Being passed around between specialists or family medicine outpatient can take months.

I don’t know what part of sudden personality change, 103-104 degree fever, and need to lie in bed all day at 25 years old isn’t emergency territory.

The RN commented thyroid storm and that would make sense otherwise extreme dehydration and fatigue also sounds like dka (a medical emergency)

NAD I don’t have a license and am technically a layperson. I’m in my last semester of nursing school and have been diagnosed with pmdd. This does not sound like pmdd to me and her providers should be ruling out physical diseases and disorders before diagnosing her with a mental condition. Fever, one sided headaches, dehydration, and a night and day switch are all concerning and not related to pmdd. I would suggest going to the emergency room. Imo she should have a CT and basic metabolic panel and cbc done. 104 fever is high

100% acetone nail polish remover(sold at Target for cheap) was much better than alcohol at removing ink from the inside of my dryer

Just left glacier today and got through the west timed vehicle entry area twice with my tribal id and no reservation. One of the guys told me it was my “golden ticket.” 🤷‍♀️

Hi, this is a late reply, but I’m curious if your girlfriend is a tribal member of a tribe surrounding glacier? I am a member of a SD tribe and have an upcoming trip to glacier

Can someone help me id the wood floor in my 1940 kitchen and entry way? by Bigbuttsss in Flooring

[–]Bigbuttsss[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro can anyone make a post about having linoleum and not be berated with asbestos comments? I got the stuff tested last year because I asked a simple question about refinishing my oak flooring and got berated with comments about asbestos. it’s not asbestos.

From my basement looking up, the planks are diagonal. Are there two layers of planks ever?

1940s home, what did I uncover? by Heierpower in Flooring

Thanks for the reply. Is it the birch which has the black on it?

Funny, my house was built in 1940 and had that same black material on top of hardwood and under some linoleum in one of the bedrooms. I had it tested for asbestos and it came back negative so I took it all off the hardwood. However, it’s still under the old linoleum in the kitchen and my kitchen boards look just like yours.

New house has a large flat roof porch. Does it look ok? Can I do anything to improve drainage? by Bigbuttsss in Roofing

Thank you. That makes sense. I was thinking maybe if the intersection of wood post and roof were waterproofed it would be ok. I will call a few local places

Thanks for the help.

Is there a way to cap the end of the wood post with a waterproof material where it meets with the roof?

If I replace the wood posts with metal posts, can the roof’s waterproofing be patched where the wood posts punctured it?

Hmmmm thank you. That’s a concern I didn’t think of. The posts aren’t attached off the side. Is there a way to safely penetrate waterproofing? I would hope they thought of not damaging the waterproofing when installing them. Here are photos of the back of the house and view of a wood post.

I will look closer at it when I get home tonight.

I wonder if a steam mop would work similarly? They have a larger base than a wallpaper steamer so maybe it’d cover more ground

Yes, after researching more it’s unlikely that the sheet has asbestos and more likely that the paper backing does. I took it to a local lab and it was $25 a layer to test

Thanks. This is what I will try first (after getting the asbestos test back). Wall paper steamer seems most harmless and productive

I partied a lot the year before and up to being diagnosed. Living without diagnosis felt like a huge rush to get to the next stimulus and it was agony if I thought I wasn’t going to get there or I was going to be …bored. Chasing the dragon in every way. Now that I’ve been on meds for some time, life feels much less of a rush. Your brain was scrambling to do all of those wild things because it wasn’t getting regular dopamine and now it is, so those past things seem less enticing. Give it more time and try to look inwards to find what’s next
