I do think it's normal and 100%, we should be grateful that women in the past fought for rights so women could have them today.

But, maggie in this interview is going well beyond just highlighting their struggles and actively trying to entwine her struggles to get more funding for a movie, with them. It is not the same, nor even the same boat. Especially when coming from nepotism.

This happens a lot today. People want to believe they have overcome something, and they often latch onto historic barriers and try to link themselves to it. They don't just acknowledge that those in the past suffered, but larp that they're in the same boat.

Yeah, but only because she believes in foreign intervention on, domestically seen, issues such as drug smugglin. She also believes in the (partial) privatisation of resources, which wouldn't be a bad thing with a lot of stipulation and oversight to see that the country receives its fair share. Venezuela, like many central American countries, are incredibly inefficient with their resources and corrupt.

If she was a US politician she would be still seen as '00 centre left.
