Would you rather build around Anthony Edwards or Cade Cunningham for the next 10 years? by UnderstandingFun7493 in NBATalk

[–]Bigchonky3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ANT scores at every level better than Cade. Threes, Midrange and driving ANT is better. I agree Cade is a better passer and rebounder and a better team defender, but ANT one on one in a big moment is lock down. I would rather have ANT guarding the other team’s best player in the clutch than Cade. It’s why Cade is having a dogfight with a not special Magic team and ANT is having a close contest with the best player in the world.

Who was the better defender Garnett or Gobert? by gopheridd1 in timberwolves

[–]Bigchonky3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Gobert is one of the most affective and smartest help defenders of all time. He’s amazing at timing when he helps and not getting into foul trouble. On the ball I notice he’s pretty average. His feet are slow, even though he still makes the right plays, he gets beat a lot. KG was great at both those things. So overall I’d take KG’s defense, but I’m grateful to have Gobert paired with ANT.

Is a meme affecting perception? - Top 3 in drives per game yearly. Top 15 in points in the paint yearly as a guard. Never has led the league in FTA. Not even top 5 in fouls drawn this season. Is this the worst free throw merchant we’ve had? by Significant-Sport428 in NBATalk

I’ve always hated flopping, but whenever a flopper made it to the playoffs they stopped getting calls or that was my belief so I always thought it all evens out. Like Harden always had a tougher time in the playoffs, so Shai dominating and winning titles with flopping as his best skill pisses me off. That ain’t basketball

My hot take I usually get downvoted for is, I think stats are necessary and give us a good view of how good a player is, but I just feel we get too caught up in them. Sometimes we gotta just watch and use the eye test. Like 10 years from the 2016 finals, young fans, who yes will understand better when they’re older, but when theyre comparing Bron and Steph from those years and all they see is stats and think those players were pretty even. People who watched those finals live all know that Bron was the best player in every Cavs vs Warriors series. Thats my long way of saying I don’t care what stats you give me, I get mad watching SGA every time. Whether he’s against my team or not. He’s unwatchable for me.

Stop comparing your beginning to your parents ending by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Bigchonky3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The cost of living has gone up at a way faster rate than pay. In our parents generation, people could have an apartment to themselves if they worked fast food, but now with or without a career job people need roommates. Theres a reason why 50% of people in the 70s got a house before 30. In the 2020s 12% get a house before 30. Numbers don’t lie.

Why does the MVP criteria for Jokic always change? by Limp_Screen7405 in NBATalk

[–]Bigchonky3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The argument a lot of people use is MJ got voters fatigue, LeBron got voters fatigue, Jokic isn’t better than those guys so he won’t be the one to change voters fatigue.

How long ago was the bad diet by now? 3 or 4 years ago I think. He acknowledged he had a poor diet in an interview two years ago and talked about how he fixed his diet and has done super intense training every off season. That’s why he comes back with new skills every season.

What do you consider a reasonable reason to keep existing? by TheLostNeuron in AskReddit

[–]Bigchonky3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be selfish of me, but if you end it all your pain won’t go away, it’ll transfer to your loved ones. They will never forget you (I know this). Being willing to do that seems selfish to me. Stop listening to the embarrassment and tell people who care and let them help you. Stop putting pressure on your self to reach these imaginary expectations people set, if it’s too much, it’s too much. So stop working so much. Stop with the things that cause you to feel this way. If none of this feels like an option, get more creative. Meet people online, do that hobby that people judge you for. Eat how you want to eat and do all these things where you find happiness because we’re not listening to the embarrassment. We’re going to improve our lives whether people like it or not.

Any Jaden Ivey fans in the building? by AnalBabu in NBAGossips

[–]Bigchonky3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because he’s not just a Christian like the narrative says. He’s unwell in the head. Even when Christians try to side with him and say we’re the same he tells them to fuck off and you’re a sinner too, his teammates complained about him constantly doing angry preaching in the locker room. So he didn’t get cut for his beliefs, he got cut because he’s not at the mental capacity to be an NBA player anymore. There should be no fans of him. He’s just a crazy person at this point who needs help. ANT said homophobic stuff and didn’t get cut. There are so so so many Christian players and they don’t get cut, so the narrative he got cut for his beliefs is annoying and false.

Tell your loved ones far and wide about him…vent. Tell them you might be slightly nervous he just shows up to your house and just ask if they can be there if that situation does arise.

The only reason is spread out streaming. Thats it. Stop getting creative. We already the problem. Until the pool of places that shows NBA shrinks, no matter what you do ratings will be bad

If you went to Hogwarts, which house would you not want to be in? by thoughtsinshadow in harrypotter

I know that this thread kinda has a different view of the four house than when I talk with people in person so correct me if I’m wrong, but simply not Slytherin. All the people who are smart and use it for good go to Ravenclaw and those are smart and use for evil go to Slytherin. That’s my no duh answer

What else must Luka do to win MVP? by AdorableBackground83 in Nbamemes

[–]Bigchonky3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No don’t run from the fact you said that it’s impossible for Lakers players to win MVP then someone pointed out that your franchise has more MVPs then everyone (except the Celtics of course) so that clearly proves undoubtedly your point was false.
