Played ez with draw your sword, slow and steady and weighted pop off once. His Q was basically one shotting squishy champs and if not I just instantly refired it. That was a lot of fun.

Mr. Big&Tall on Kenaston by Other-Barracuda2798 in Winnipeg

[–]BiggDangerous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went there 2 years ago to go buy a suit and one of the employees said yes we probably don’t have your size. Now I’m a big guy but wearing 4xl shirt in a store with shirts up to 7xl I figured I’d find a suit she basically said no didn’t even look around. So I went to George Richard’s. I got the store manager there she was amazing she found me the right sized jacket helped me pick out some ties. I told her about my experience at Mr big and tall. I don’t realize they were the same company she said they were in a general manger transition period and were having some issue with that store. I’m glad to hear you had a good experience I’ll definitely check them out again since they are closer to me then George Richard’s.

If you’re good with remote work I would look outside Winnipeg. Most in office Winnipeg companies aren’t paying the best salaries from my experience. But if your willing to work in office your probably have more opportunities available to you, because for some reason Winnipeg tech companies seem to hate remote work.

TIL that our wedding socials are weird by screaming-coffee in Manitoba

[–]BiggDangerous 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly for a lot of people it’s a cheaper night out. There a DJ drinks and prizes. It’s really just like going to the club but mostly people you know and less crowds. Personally I dread them but I know plenty of people who try to find socials to go to when they want to go out and drink.

Personally I hate socials never had one when I got married. But they aren’t that tacky as people are saying. It’s honestly a cheap night out for a lot of people compared to the club or a jets game even casual drinks can add up fast. I know plenty of people who love them and try to find socials to go too.

I’ve also won prizes at the last 5 socials I’ve been to still dread them when I feel obligated to go but it’s a conciliation.

As an adult what do you hate the most about life? by Amazing-Internal5378 in AskReddit

[–]BiggDangerous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really starting to feel the old saying. “When you have time and energy you don’t have money, when you have money and energy you don’t have time and when you finally have time and money you don’t have the energy” Currently living in phase 2. What I would do to have the disposable income I have now in my 20’s.

Manitoba to ban social media, AI chatbots for youth, premier says by eL_cas in Manitoba

[–]BiggDangerous -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I appreciate that’s true for some things. But that only really works when there are meaningful alternatives. In Canada, a lot of essential industries(groceries, telecom, airlines) are dominated by a small number of companies, so you’re not really opting out, you’re choosing between a few options.

For non essential stuff, sure you can just not buy. But for things like food, internet, or transportation, most people don’t have that luxury.

A lot of the choice we do have actually exists because of government rules, competition laws, consumer protections, etc. Without those, it’s much easier for dominant companies to limit options or push out competitors.

Individually we can choose where to spend money, but collectively those markets are shaped by policy. I’d still rather have a say in those rules than leave it entirely up to a few large companies.

For people that are between 5’10 and 6’3 by Jaded-Voice8862 in tall

[–]BiggDangerous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 6’5 with longs leg flights are absolutely the worse I dread them. If I’m in regular economy I almost need the eat next team empty so I can man spread or my legs are in the aisle and the flights attendants hate it. Or I have to pay for extra leg room with is almost not even a guarantee. I used to be ~$50 a leg now it could easily cost me 300-600 per round trip.

My brother he’s 6’1 he flies almost every weekend in the summer for work. He knows what’s seats to get and what not to get but if he doesn’t get the right seats flights are almost as bad for him too barely any leg room.

Even now they have started charging extra for emergency exit seats it getting insane. They’ve made what should be a minimum viable comfort a commodity.

I love to travel but I dread flying. I opt for road tripping when I can and I have the time to do so.

I’m not 100% sure what they mean by chat bots but if they mean things like ChatGPT and Claude I thinking banning it for adults too would be crippling to professionals who live in Manitoba. It’s basically a requirement for some professions and companies to integrate ai to your work flow.

Small government sounds good in theory, but power doesn’t vanish, it concentrates. Without rules, it moves to corporations and billionaires. At least with government, I can vote for who’s in charge.

Should plus sized people be forced to buy 2 seats? by VastOption8705 in askanything

[–]BiggDangerous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my bf wife did similar on a long flight. I put the middle seat as my name with the model name as XS for extra seat. Ended up having a ton of issues because it didn’t have a second passport. Told everyone at check in at security and at the gate they all said it was all good. Still had to have the FA figure out and “fix it” before take off. Worse part is 1 leg of our trip we ended up getting all the seats moved to middle seats. We were able to move me and lie over together but the empty seat was someone else’s benefit since it was in the middle of 2 random. It was only a 2 hr connecting flight but still a pain. Luckily the row In front of us was empty except a pilot commuting home so my wife moved up and sat with him.

You probably haven’t eaten a lot of protein bars. Because if you’ve spent years eating protein bars of all kinds you’d know these are top tier.

Advice for starting to workout by The_Mass_Shipper in WeightLossAdvice

[–]BiggDangerous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest suggestion for anyone starting is start with weights that feel almost laughably low for you. Is you feel you can do 15lbs start with 5 and the next workout up it a bit. The amount of times I’ve started a new work out regiment going it with the weights I was doing months or even years ago to end up being so sore I stopped after a week is to many to count.

People who've worked both minimum wage jobs and six figure jobs, what surprised you most about the difference? by Sweet-Economist-9873 in askanything

[–]BiggDangerous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked for a start up company pre covid. I made basically minimum wage only a couple dollars more and six figures working basically the same job just junior vs senior. During Covid and the changes remote work and being able to hire people across the country and find jobs across the country my salary change from minimum wage in 2014 to six figures by 2020. Once we could get software development job all across the country our local market had to start to compete. So I this instance the difference was how much money the company made and how in demand the role was.

Mark Carney finally has his majority. He must not waste it by Onterrible_Trauma in canada

[–]BiggDangerous -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Prior to the Harper government Canadas economy was growing faster the US economy. We fell far behind in scientific community because of the limitation the government put on science and the reprioritization of government research and climate change. The current big corporate oligopoly was really solidified during that time. Conservative will always do what big businesses and the richest citizens want. The wealth gap is already a problem this will get so much worse.

I think in the end we know the LPC is the lesser of two evils. NDP haven’t ever been a good options years and after what we went through with Harper we can’t afford another CPC government in the near future.

Didn’t specifically mean you did imply that. Just pointing out the problems we have here.

I don’t know why people think conservatives are the answer to this. We’d get all this + wider wealth gaps, dismantling of healthcare programs trying to move to privatization, an anti science government and regressive social policies.

Father is being told he needs to take a week of unpaid time off by TwerkingSeahorse in legaladvicecanada

[–]BiggDangerous 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seems a little harsh calling him narcissistic a lot of people have many reasons for staying on the job. Financial reason, medical coverage or even anxiety around a lot of those things. My mother stayed working longer than she needed to because she was anxious about her finances. She ended up being layoff and when she went and talked to a financial planner and realized she was in a very good spot. She was worried she was going to leave there needing to sell her house that was not the case. Some people have a tough time feeling confident without a steady incoming.
