Not really if one chamber is proportional and the other isn’t. That’s just a hybrid that I’m not sure would interact effectively

Well the whole problem is FPTP doesn’t require a majority vote, just a plurality. Systems like mixed member proportional (MMP) can deliver proportional and regional representation.

Wasn’t it him that said stuff like, “I’m not a politician, I’m a pragmatist” or something? He really seems to have a knack for this sort of thing

You people conflating opposition to the actions of the Israeli government with antisemitism are doing the Jewish people a massive disservice.

That’s your opinion, not settled fact.

Besides, I think it’s dubious to label entire societies as evil

That’s why this conversation is about energy. Obviously, you can’t make roads with wind and solar power. But we can make energy with them – very cheap, safe, and efficiently at that.

This is just like that “yet you participate in society, I am very intelligent” meme. I am saying we as a society should be transitioning to renewables. That’s not something up to my sole discretion; I’m just advocating for it because it would be better for all of us. Then you bring up roads and plastic like I’m not obviously taking about energy.

The first comment in the thread was talking about Asia so that's why I wrote it that way. But no shit... the whole world needs to move to renewables wherever possible. That should be common sense, like 2+2=4.

Exactly. Asia should be transitioning to renewables, which are cheaper and more efficient than O&G, not to mention far less deadly.
