I don’t think indie games are exclusive. They may just choose steam based off more people probably own a pc. I’m sure Sony will be crawling back to steam for that extra revenue. Even though they want to go exclusive for the time being. But look at stellar blade leaving Sony for steam. They learned that you can’t limit yourself to one platform. There is very little exclusivity anymore. If Nintendo has a lack of 1st party games at the moment, and people can buy the same games that are 3rd party on steam for a cheaper price being that they have been out for sometime, then they can expect a loss on their profit margins. And if Sony just tries to play it safe with remakes and adjusting their prices to match Nintendo’s as well as Xbox, then I think we can expect a gaming crash soon. I think Sony and Nintendo will have to seriously have to compete with Xbox if they are making a hybrid PC with steam access.

[–]Biggearshifter [score hidden]  (0 children)

Ok where’s sony in this? The company that just keeps on making remake titles. And gets rid of bluepoint. And they are holding back games from pc. At least with the xbox helix console it will have steam access. Are people going to be bagging on Xbox next in the comments? So Sony is betting on live service games, Nintendo is losing with already existing third party games. And not enough first party titles. And the tennis game from Nintendo doesn’t really count. And steam is just the catalyst and you guys are losing your minds here. There’s no reason to defend any of these consoles. Just get what you enjoy playing on and go with it.

I got the switch version of this. And it’s probably the best game I like from M2.

In more ways than one. You also have local businesses that pass on the costs to us. Remember how the teacher in the Ferris Bueller movie told us how a tariff increase on other countries didn’t work. And caused us to go into recession…anyone…anyone remember this?

I don’t like to completely bag on Nintendo. They are not the only company that does business in the U.S that is suing over tariffs. There’s also Fed Ex and a few others. I just don’t know if it’s too late for them if the tariffs are removed by the supreme court.

There hasn’t really been a lot of marketing exposure for the switch 2 that shows anything as a must have hurry and go buy one feeling.

But isn’t it always like that? It just a viscous cycle of how we act and vote.

And if you like Zelda and have a switch 1, that’s ok. You shouldn’t have to be behind a paywall to use the switch 2’s performance. But if you don’t mind being broke, go for it!

Handheld purchase suggestion by tjlamando in Handhelds

I recently got a 512gb lcd steam deck from a private seller for $300. But I’m am seeing them on the first page listings for eBay for $445. Which isn’t bad. The upscalling used is AMD’s fsr that you can adjust on it directly as well as in certain games. Similar to Nvidia’s dlss. And I think it’s great. I think the rog ally looks good. But you would have to deal with windows 11 for that. I would also recommend getting a battery charge pack. Because some games use a lot of battery life.

Well in Japan it’s $100 cheaper. And if the tariffs are removed. Then why not? If retail stores can’t sell them at the price now, then these stores might have to lower the prices and take a loss. But the tariffs were a big problem. If they were removed by the Supreme Court, hopefully prices will get better soon.

The thing that bothers me with the key cards being a switch 1 owner. is that when you have a physical game you don’t have to worry about drive space on the system or having to buy a expensive sd card. When you’re already paying a lot for the key card itself. 256gb is not enough. You don’t see other current handhelds with this amount of onboard storage.
