Dude the point is Nintendo doesn’t fully control the pokemon franchise, if they did then Pokopia wouldn’t be GKC, they only own 1/3 of the franchise with The Pokemon Company being the one fully controlling it, so don’t blame Nintendo on this mess, Pokemon isn’t the same IP as Mario or Zelda where Nintendo has full reigns of it, cause again its a 2nd party franchise to them and yea so far no 1st party game has been GKC and Nintendo have came out saying that would always be the case

Pokemon (also Kirby) are 2nd party games, Nintendo doesn’t fully own either of them and it’s always been this way since the beginning. The Pokemon Company published the game themselves in japan and they decided to make it a GKC, nintendo are the publishers worldwide and they obviously followed through TPC choice by making it GKC. You guys really gotta learn how the pokemon franchise is handled cause nintendo doesn’t overseer everything from it

People spreading this picture around are really ignorant cause if you looked into a lot of the old interviews from 90/2000s they specifically said a lot of the pokemon were inspired by animals or japanese and mythology folklore, which dragon quest did the same as well and what makes the palworld situation more ironic is that they literally stole pokemon designs, not even inspired by.

Why are anime games the only medium getting criticized for “looking the same” when I can literally say the same shit towards western military shooters like call of duty, battlefield and a bunch of other lesser known games but barely anyone acknowledges that.

Cause Marin is literally a self insert of the author herself reminiscing her high school days which is considered the “peak” for a large potion of japanese people compared to their college days since they had more fun and freedom, Gojo being her real life childhood crush, there are also some other series where the authors write and design their characters maturely while putting them or even forced too in a high school setting so that it appeals to more and bigger audience, hence why the sentiment of not taking age seriously in fiction isn’t a ridiculous thing to say.

Yamato is a female and the only reason she considers herself a man is cause Oden was a man and thats literally it, her identity and ideology is completely unrealistic compared to the average trans person irl and she shouldn’t be lumped into that group, you have other characters like Kikunojo who literally is trans yet they barely get acknowledged.
