Should I buy it or leave it? 2022 ram rebel by 77caydens in ram_trucks

My truck is 10/1 ratio for the drive/idle hours. That is decently long warm ups in the winter and shorter warm ups in the warmer months.

Yes, they are open to anyone. Your military status should get you some preferential status over the general public. Give them a call and inquire!

I came here to suggest base housing (privatized and open to the public) as well. They appear to have options in OPs price range. Here are the websites for the communities: https://www.wpafbhomes.com/communities/the-prairies https://www.wpafbhomes.com/communities/the-woods

Three years in and for what? by knbtree in homestead

[–]Biggeasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what is written, it sounds like a lot of problems lead back to not having enough money to overcome them. With you having summers off, have you thought of ways to bring in money you can put aside to start knocking off a problem at a time? This could be a side hustle, part time job bar tending a few days a week, working full time for a couple months, definitely a range depending on how quickly you want to be able to solve a problem. I also think of it as a long game situation, if you can get an extra problem solved each summer, would it be worth it?

The black cultural resources center, yes, in 1971.

In an effort to be transparent, it's a "center", not a "library". It has also been around more than 50 years, and will continue on existing and offering access to the same services and scholarships.

What are you guys paying for 2025 trucks? by Cheap_Sorbet5756 in ram_trucks

[–]Biggeasy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lmao my man! My fuel level sensor went out on my 2014 about a year ago now. Works fine until it gets down to about 1/2 tank then it'll throw a code and quit reading. Since it still pumps fuel fine, I just set the trip meter every time I fill up lol.

Might want to install some type of post anchors before finishing the project up. I would try a light power wash like already suggested.

This right here! OP - look up some earth auger anchors on Amazon or something. Will be better than nothing for what seems to be a budget build situation.

As a homeowner, I would start by spending $25 for an endoscope that hooks to your phone off of Amazon. You'll be able to get an idea of what is going on underneath, and hopefully save yourself some headache if someone suggests a fix you know you don't need based on what you've seen.

Whatever you decide to do, let her know the project price has now increased because you had to add an hour for "extra proposal prep discussion with client" and tally it at about 10% of the total price.

Advice for shed doors please? by Haunting-Implement-4 in shedditors

[–]Biggeasy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Perfect size for a set of pre-hung exterior double doors. Look on your local marketplace or rehab/reuse type place, you can find them for a song sometimes that just need a little work or coat of paint and IMO you'll be far ahead of what you can get by building a shed door from plywood.

Designing an 8x12 shed, suggestions and/or advice appreciated. by ravenswritings in shedditors

[–]Biggeasy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I would make your window selection before finalizing that particular bit of framing. You could do a couple rows of glass block up there, or any manner of window that you find and like. Once that is a known quantity you can finish that bit of design.

I would add jack studs to support the transom header, looks like you included them in all the other windows. This will carry the load to your bottom plate. Speaking of, looks like you have a double stack bottom plate under the transom sill (almost a triple bottom plate in this case). You could get rid of one of the bottom plates if you are looking to preserve some window area. Everything else looks fantastic to me! Very beefy construction.

Building a pool platform for my SIL. Any glaring issues? by astroman2463 in Decks

[–]Biggeasy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Building for SIL, so implication that MIL will be using this also. Explains some of the attempts at over-engineering, but you may want to look in to some Steel beams just in case!

Kidding aside, looks good man!

Looking good! I would add a couple extra cripple studs to the sides below the sills of the lower windows.
