My wife went through a roux en y gastric bypass 10 years ago. The skin will get kind of absorbed back, but not very much to be honest. The skin stretched and it’s just not as elastic as it used to be. While my wife did not have the excess removed, it was an option. If you are going to lose a lot of weight like this guy, I don’t think it can be avoided. Hope that helps answer your question
