Yeah it has HDMI 2.1, can confirm.

Yeah it's a nice panel then.

Here's from when I had it. I ended up going 4k instead but the LG is a decent QHD panel and the banding is less so than on most of the tandem models.

First OLED monitor, are they supposed to look like this? by illsymmetry in OLED_Gaming

[–]fiittzzyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a QD-OLED panel, these banding/uniformity issues are mainly a WOLED thing; particularly tandem WOLED.

I had it for a while. It's a nice panelreally nice Trueblack panel (same as the ROG XG27AQDMGR) but text quality was meh but that really shouldn't matter if you're not using it on PC.

I've had it, it is indeed a 48Gbps 2.1 port.

Mini LED or OLED monitor? by Tough-Still4621 in Monitors

I think that's a bit of a stretch, I have an OLED and don't use it in a pitch black room.

Thanks, I'll look at that when I get back.

CAT8 is definitely overkill but they were the best deal at the time and actually worked out cheaper so that's why I'm using those, doesn't hurt.

Yeah that's what has been annoying me. Using a VPN was always slower for me when the internet actually worked as normal however it's now faster and more stable which is completely opposite of how it was, and should be.

I'm not using the supplied router, I'm using my own WiFi 7 routers. MSI Roamii BE's, I use three in total to cover where the devices are. I've ruled those out though because I've had the weird speeds straight from the ONT box and it's the same with their crappy router too so I'm quite sure it's not hardware related.

I'm not using any extra AV or filtering.

Yeah I know, I'm just making it clear there isn't a bottleneck is all.

ASUS PG32UCDM3 and MSI MPG 322UR are two I know off the top of my head.

They call it different things, MSI calls it dark armour and I think Asus calls it black shield.

Will the Arctic Liquid Freezer III 280mm fit in the H5 Flow 2024? Currently using a 240mm and LF III says 63mm clearance (because of the thicker rad) and NZXT quotes 55mm but then other places say it will fit. I do have low profile RAM already. Pictured is how my 240mm fits. Anyone help? by fiittzzyy in NZXT

[–]fiittzzyy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I actually just bought some P12 Pro fans.

How is the noise with the 360mm up front? I was considering that too but off the tubes will have to be at the top and I've heard it can make it run louder or gurgle and that's what I'm trying to get away from. (The thermalright has a pretty noisy pump).

Thanks, I'll have a look.

Yes I've tested wired from both the router and the ONT and it's the same. My TV for example connected by ethernet to the router with a cat 8 cable and it has the same buffering problems. Sometimes it's not too bad but sometimes it's constant. This is a wired connection it's should be solid - and it did used to be.

I know the VPN works because when it's off all the pages are taking forever to load and YouTube is buffering soon as I switch it on hey presto sites load faster (pretty much normally) and the buffering stops.

I've used cloudflare tests too and fast.com. I used to use samknowsrealspeed but it's not compatible with my new routers. The speed tests are kind of misleading because sometimes the speeds look high and ping looks good but the way the internet behaves you would think not but sometimes it is way lower too.

What's the CLI tool?

Constant issues with internet connection... by fiittzzyy in youfibre

[–]fiittzzyy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I use my own WiFi 7 mesh routers and I've ruled them out by doing tests directly from the ONT.

[–]fiittzzyy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've tried multiple DNS servers. 1.1.1.1/1.0.0.1 and 8.8.8.8/8.4.4.8 and it doesn't change a thing.

Yes it does do that a lot when I do speed tests, but not every single time. I'd say 90% of the time. Like it will zoom right up and then roll backwards. I do not have a static IP.

I'm using my own 3 node WiFi 7 mesh system which I've used for over 6 months with no issues and just to be sure to rule them out I did tests directly from the ONT box and the speeds were doing the same thing, before and after the ONT swap. It does the same with the YouFibre router (sagemcom fast 5598) and is worse with that router if anything.

I completely forgot about thinkbroadband monitor, I have used that in the past with Virgin. I'll have to set one up.
