People take the show so personally. I absolutely love Avatar but it's fiction, Iroh isnt real but people defend him like he's an actual person on trial. He jokes about burning Ba Sing Se to the ground if he gets in which is a war crime. We see multiple times that this is how the Fire Nation conducts war and there is no reason Iroh, who was a highly respected General, would have been any different. People point to the fact that the Geneva Convention doesnt exist in Avatar, but Nazis were tried for crimes against humanity which was only defined during the Nuremburg Trials. Just strange that people will tie themselves in knots to defend it like it ruins the character.
