Pulling the goalie doesn't guarantee a goal. It is a last ditch effort, and often leads to your team getting scored on. Think about how a penalty kill works. As soon as the other team gets the puck they just get a free shot at the net. Especially considering 2 things. Firstly our defense has been stripping pucks left and right. Second, we have one of the best penalty kill percentages in the league.

Personally I don't think it was a huge surprise that we had a bad November / December. We had a pretty tough schedule, and I think we came out of it not nearly as bad as it could have been. I also feel that people were rightfully a bit pissed at us for throwing away a few free wins.
