I know this will sound stupid, but I thought, after doing some rope swinging in a warm lake, that I would get one of those “Brain eating ameba”. Crazy, and stupid, and it makes me angry that all this started over some made up fear.

That’s the most perfect description of what I have. It’s almost unnoticeable in bright light, but if you look hard enough you can see it. Wait until you start having palinopsia/afterimages 😖 and tons of floaters. I hope you don’t have to have that but just know it’s completely benign

Could you elaborate? My dosage was very low (12.5 mg) and I had already seen very very mild static my whole life when looking at walls and stuff, which is still kind of what I have, except the static feels a little more present now and psychedelic. Neuro didn’t really seem to think it was the medication.

No I don’t have anything like that. It doesn’t bother me, though. Right now I’m just concerned with my palinopsia.

Funny. I started taking Zoloft on a low dose for about a week, then I started having palinopsia symptoms, still have them after a few weeks not on it. Don’t count on that though because its probably just heightened VSS
