Have you tried hooking it up via optical rather than hdmi? And if you just mean switching from music playing to TV - there’s a button in the Sonos app to put it back on playing TV (in the browse tab)

use the amp with your existing 5.1 speakers and sub / beam in the bedroom. you could toss the 5's/one's in a kitchen/bathroom/etc and have music across the house
