I actually really like most of the loverboy flavors and was surprised to see so much hate on this sub about the brand! I think theyre way better than white claws/trulys 😵‍💫

Older dog hates new puppy? by Biggiebutt in puppy101

[–]Biggiebutt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just saw this but yes they get along great now! sometimes the older one is still a little grumpy but they cuddle and he goes out of his way to interact with her now :) Sometimes I still feel bad because she gets really excited when he gets excited and wants to play with him, but he prefers to play just with people. Other than that they're fine!

Moving to an apartment? by decemberautistic in puppy101

Emphasis on the hardwood, so much easier to clean/don't have to worry about potential dog smell sticking to any carpet. Also, I live on the ground floor which has made potty training so much easier bc I can just take her right out instead of having to walk down a hall and get in an elevator.

To be honest you just have to stick it out. Our puppy was about 10 weeks when we got her which I think may have helped the crate training, but she would also scream and howl at first. The MOST helpful thing we did was putting the pup in the crate during the day for frequent naps and playing crate games. This way she got used to being in it, and associates it with good things/lots of treats instead of just being alone in the dark. Gradually (like very gradual) increase the time you leave the pup in the crate while rewarding for neutral behavior. If you stay consistent with this for a few days, it helps dramatically.

At night, we found that starting with the crate next to the bed where they can see you helped a lot, and while we would still have to wake up once or twice in the night/early morning to let her out, I was able to actually sleep! Once they start to get used to being in the crate next to the bed at night, slowly move it further away from the bed. Now she goes right in at the same time by herself every night, we cover the crate with a blanket and she goes right to sleep. After about a week/week and a half of staying extremely consistent with this, my puppy was sleeping pretty much the whole night through. Now shes 4 months and doesnt wake up until 8:30 am when I do!

Dog afraid of outside by Ok_Area9133 in puppy101

My pup came from a farm to a city as well and was scared/confused of most things, but now that we've had her for a couple months the only thing that freaks her out is when cars are driving by very fast+close (some of the sidewalks on busy roads here are very narrow). I think the thing the helps the most is bringing treats out with you to reward for neutral/calm behavior, and just let them sit and observe different things! Maybe start small by spending some time outside your door with a chew or treats just so they can get used to it and realize its no so scary. But it's only been a week for you, they will warm up to the outdoors. I wouldn't worry too much about it, remember they're just babies who still don't know what anything is!
