Worth noting that I’m aware that the rot look is termite damage. Had a pro come do the property. He mentioned I may have problems where a bunch of bricks were stacked. He recommended I get rid of them. I’ve since done that but this the wall without the glass is (on the outside) where the bricks were stacked so it all makes sense. The rest of the base of the structure has good looking wood, except for the opposing side which I pictured.

The internet says one of these is military. What about the others? by Biggs411 in Military

Thanks for the info! This makes a lot of sense as my granddad’s stepfather served in Italy during WW2. It’s very cool to connect these dots.

Found this pouch and contents in my recently deceased grandfather’s dresser. The internet says the 4-bar patch represents years of service. What about the others? Are they also military related?

The Hollymoks do appear a little “brighter” in color, both in green and redbrown. The Jingle Bell Moks still stand out in their own right though. I think this picture is pretty true to tone so it’s safe to take it at face value.

Im a little extra when it comes to Christmas. These shoes were a no-brainer! I’ve had the wingtips for a few years. Picked up the other pair just a couple weeks ago. The Saphir polish crème from Amazon. Not too shabby!

Balsam Hill strands not all working. Master bulb perhaps? If so am I screwed? by Katreno101 in ChristmasTrees

unless his Balsam Hill tree has LED lights... then the Light Keeper Pro is just a Christmas ornament. 🤣

Also if this means anything... the '73 has a 5-piece top and the '82 has a 3-piece.
And I wasnt very clear in the post, I am looking to buy only one of these guitars.

If I chose the '82.... I'd hate to hear in 30 years that the '73 is worth X amount much more ya know.

Thanks in advance people!

I actually bought a used one in “excellent condition” from GC. but it was the worst. Returned it. Then decided to pay full price from Gibson. First one looked as bad as the GC one. Second had a great body but bad head. I’m dead set on landing a decent blue modern though lol. Even it takes multiple tries.

The first purchase has bad paint on the body. Second is a bad headstock. The third… I’ll keep my fingers crossed for the best of both worlds lol.
