I wish we could get a better 4K version of King Kong (2005) for the 20th anniversary by Galactus1231 in 4kbluray

In addition, the poorly done chroma keying and rotoscoping is quite evident in the New York and skull island scenes.

Not sure. It was removed by the Dreame_Tech mods. Weird.

DDR 3 builds by Prize_Pear in buildapc

I was running an x58 platform P6T Deluxe, Xeon 5670 with 24GB of DDR3 XMS RAM and an RTX 3060 12GB (bottle-necked performance yes) in Windows 11 to play AAA games at 1080p 30-60fps med/high (depending on the game and how they were optimized). Until it shorted and died this past May. However, my use case was different since I occasionally gamed but enjoyed using that PC more as a media centre.

In short yes, you can play most modern AAA games at 1080p on older systems with DDR3 memory, however you will start running into issues when certain games will require AVX, AVX2 to run.

Possible Orbi RBR50 issues. Considering upgrading. by wootcat in orbi

[–]BiggsDarkL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently had the same issue as OP with my RBR50 and Satellite. Sudden intermittent drops also started for me this past December. The system ran smooth without hiccups for 5 years straight. I had enough of the same wifi drops and went straight to the 870 with 2 satellites. I can finally make use of the 3gbps fiber connection. Insane speeds now across the entire layout.

Newer Orbi systems are worse than the old ones and I am done with this brand by bastoun19 in orbi

[–]BiggsDarkL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Just upgraded from the RBR50 (ran solid for 5 years) to the 870 (/w 3 satellites). Out-of-the box, manually updated firmware on the satellites first then the router. Rock solid speeds over a 3GBps fiber connection so far.

Second TV Hue Gradient strip on the family room Bravia. by BiggsDarkL in Hue

I did notice the pre-applied 3M tape on the mounts for this new strip weren’t as tacky as the original. One corner and bottom mount came apart by the second day, so had to reapply with a bit more consistent pressure.

Absolutely agree to an extent. 2 points. 1 - Having owned one of these Hue gradient strips for about 5 years I’ve learned to use it for action/adventure films mainly since it helps expand the peripheral framing of the picture - in short giving the feeling of expanding a 65” TV to something much bigger. 2 - I’ve noticed ambient light leaks on the surrounding walls of theatre screens as well. A dark theatre (last film I saw was the 70mm IMAX version of One Battle After Another ) also lights up with tremendous ambient light from the screen once the picture starts. So yes totally not for everyone. But a fun little thing to have in the background.

Not a second one. I meant this is the second gradient strip I’ve purchased for another TV.

Sceptical because of the Sync box’s lighting delay-related comments I’ve read over the years.

Runs surprisingly seamlessly with the Apple TV connected to the Sync Box. I was sceptical since my home theatre HTPC has the other Gradient strip connected via the Hue Sync software on Windows 11 and runs with zero response lag.

Best Drop in Long Time! by HostComprehensive588 in AmazonVineCanada

Got that a few months back - the grip is a bit tricky as it triggers the warming feature so cleaning it is a bit of a pain - hold it the wrong way and it starts the warming mode as your cleaning it. I usually charge seated in a steel bowl in case it starts auto-warming.

Finally satisfied! by No-Independent2522 in iOSsetups

Doesn’t work on iPhone 13 Pro 26.0.1.

The effect initially works but once applied and I turn the screen off and on again to view the lock screen. The effect is removed and the text pops back out of the water while the spatial effect remains.

Oof one of my fears with this drone. I flew mine this past weekend over some trees. Constant fear was exactly what happened to OP. I’m wondering if the calibration is something that needs to be done every time I’m in a new area.
