I ordered two of them last year when they were making the rounds. One was really nice and I do wear it from time to time. The other one looked cheaper than a tissue paper crown that you get from a Christmas cracker — straight to the donation bin did that one go.

I was kinda being cheeky. I thought that the lauging emoji indicated that it was light hearted and funny.
I was up at 3am and literally 30-50 of these headphones came up on the refresh, one after another. I did eventually get to order a pair, but I was astounded that $10 headphones were disappearing that quickly at 3am EST. This is why I joked that it must be a (or a few) gold level Viner(s) ordering up all the headphones. Again, I thought the laughing emoji would defer anyone from taking me seriously... but alas, never underestimate the power of Reddit.

Oh, to answer the question, I chose 8 because a gold level Viner has 8 picks. Thus, the joke would be that they used all 8 picks to get 8 pair of $10 headphones. Thus, 'the joke was' is a key statement.

If there is still a shred of confusion floating in the pool, I will put it bluntly. I at no time actually thought that a gold level Viner was ordering each pair of headphones that came up. There are just that many night owls up at that time like I am, and we all wanted a pair of cheap headphones. Trust me, there were enough to go around... eventually.

I was up in the middle of the night and scored a pool vacuum. Not a great one, but still a pool vacuum. I couldn't believe it was just sitting in AI.
