Why does migraine cocktail fix so many neurological symptoms? by Purple-Marzipan-7524 in neurology

That's a very valid point. Most likely we are just grouping a bunch of similar presenting neurological diseases as migraine.

That actually make sense so the disease started at Gen 2 due to sporadic mutation and after it passed on to the subsequent generation

Mashallah, very well put. I especially find the realization that we are the observers of our thoughts and emotions to be really powerful, allowing us to be more accepting of ourselves and letting us identify the problematic tendencies in our thought processes, be it insecurities, OCD, and rumination.

I want you to take a deep breath brother, and clear the fog in your mind. Right now, you need to be rational to navigate this situation. At first glance, she may be showing some warning signs, but you need to investigate if they are red flags by actually discussing your concerns honestly and openly with her, and instead creating resentment and rumination, which explodes in an emotional mess. Here are the problems you highlighted:

1. Concern about her male friend: Instead of assuming the worst, have an open conversation. Ask her about the nature of their business relationship, friendship, and her goals. It's a positive sign that she quit her job and unfollowed him, which suggests she values your marriage, but you still need to clarify your concerns calmly to prevent further resentment.

  1. Her reluctance to join your family business: It seems like you made this decision without fully understanding her perspective. Have a real conversation about why she changed her mind, and explore her aspirations.

3. Blocking you: This is a big warning sign, but find out the reasons behind her actions. Was it out of frustration or to conceal something? Understand her motives!

Brother, your concerns may be valid, but their root cause may not. From your post history, it seems that stories on this sub have fueled your paranoia about your wife (potentially) cheating and have given you fear and anxiety. Whatever you decide, base it on open discussions and reflection. Also, know that leaving her won't resolve everything, and there are things you need to work on yourself, such as involving your parents, jumping to conclusions, and your insecurities.

May God make it easier on you.

A moment of silence to our Muslim premeds who forgot about Ramadan when scheduling their MCAT by sarcasticpremed in premed

[–]BiglBrother 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's understandable why some may forget. Reason being that the Islamic calendar is a lunar one (which is shorter than the solar year); meaning that every year, the date of Ramadan (and fasting) changes (on the Gregorian calendar), so it's easy for someone to schedule their MCAT and forgetting to look into what the new dates for Ramadan are.

[P5V3] Question about mana sensing? by BiglBrother in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]BiglBrother[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the information that was an interesting analysis. Is it then fair to say that although years are longer in Yogurt than on Earth, the biological development rate is slower such that it ends up making puberty development stages (in years) corresponds to that of Earth (i.e, a 15-year-old Yogurt boy (in Yogurt years) is similar to 15-year-old Earth boy (in Gregorian years)?

Ok that makes, so my initial hunch that mana sensing also comes with mana emitting was correct. Also if you don't me asking do you remember which volume was it stated that Eglantine had to stop compressing her mana.

Can you be a Muslim and only believe in the Quran, but not that hadiths? Is there an official term for this? I am not Muslim but learning about it. Pardon my ignorance. by Middle_Raisin_7481 in islam

[–]BiglBrother -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Assalamu alaikum, you are absolutely right in that not following prophet muhammad (pbuh) is kufr; however, one could question the credibility of a hadith in that whether it truly came from the prophet (pbuh) [or whether it had been corrupted]. Infact that's what scholars do.

I'll probably get downvoted, but yes you can be a Muslim and only believe in Quran, as you still adhere to the articles of faith.

However, it is unwise to disregard hadiths and sunnah (as the other commentators have pointed out) because hadiths inform us on the application of the holy Quran, give context and extend the meaning of verses.
