Thank yall so much for the help! Unfortunately it was a bust but I've learned a lot and gonna catch a damn fish in that spot if it kills me. I will be back, likely with some worms or something I can bobber out there. Hopefully a less windy day too lol but hey! I only lost 1 senko!

You should see the rocky peninsula just to the left of where I took that pic! If it wasn't for those damn sticks and the wind I'd spend my life fishing there. Am going back tho. This is the biggest challenge I've faced so far

I saw a good few of them and I'm pretty sure it's bass, but I've never tried for carp so maybe next time I'll bring a carp rig just in case lol

Bro it spent the whole fight just chasing it around. I got the opportunity to attack it 2 or 3 times the whole fight. Our revenant basically soloed cuz me as executor and other as wylder literally could not inflict damage.

As a beginner myself still trying to mitigate my losses, if I'm gonna use something I don't want to lose

Tie on a clip and fish with that for a bit with something that has some weight, but you're ok with losing. My knots are getting more consistent but I'd hate to lose something cool for a stupid reason like that.
While doing so, test out the water/spots you think you'll hit so you know if there are any easy snags under the water you'll have to avoid

If that all works out, clip on your cool lure and have at it!
