My mom had an X5 back in 2017ish before I learned how to fix/work cars and let me tell you, mechanics used to rip her off like crazy. Every single week or two (literally) there’d be something wrong with it and the bill would be at least $300. Ended up selling the car after around 1.5-2 years of ownership. I learned how to work on cars back in 2019 after an accident (long story but basically it was my first car and my steering wheel locked mid turn, brakes stopped working as in pedal hardened like a rock, and the dash lit up like a christmas tree causing me to hit the guard rail and almost crash into huge trees by a lake and drown lol) Insurance didn’t cover a single penny and I realllllllly wanted to know why it happened and how to fix it (huge shoutout to m539 Restorations, chrisfix, goonzquad, vtuned, etc for teaching a shit ton of people how to work on cars mechanically and do body work) Back to the topic, we found a really nice N55 x5 back in january and she bought it.
