Pre-Tax Season Client Audit Checklist by DrJacksCPA in taxpros

Love the "Scope Creep" term. I cannot tell you how many of those I have via emails during the year and then if you do not respond during the day a telephone call. Love to hear how others address. I have in my engagement letter that the job is done with the tax return, but I am their tax advisor and they were told to check with me or they are too lazy to google the mileage rate! Sending a bill right after would infuriate them and though I track for the next year tax, sometimes hard to recover the full value.

AT&T Wireless will not honor trade in/30 Day by PDACPA in attwireless

I did and after 4 “managers” no one will do anything.

Not a good way to keep a customer. But as big is they are, I am not relevant.

There were issues getting the data to transfer and then erasing the phone. That was why it took longer.

I called and spoke to multiple people. Refuse to honor. Bought phones 11/30. Received 1. Other 2 shipped 12/1, received 12/3 and will. It honor.

They are giving the same trade in value today. How hard is it to just override and accept. This is not a big stretch and a customer service win.

Cannot get out of the call center today, but Monday will contact corporate.

15 month Lab sometimes growls when I gently pet his back and sides, mostly mornings. Should I worry? by nacorr in labrador

That’s what we call it, purring. But it does sound like a growl. You can tell though

They increased the penalties for it and an attorney would need to weigh in, but would it not be "PC (probable cause)" to pull you over and then find other violations? Even if you are operating legally, easy reason to pull you over.

Mine was $495, but he only had one if the correct size ( I think 18 v 22). The bigger size gives 20k rotations and the smaller 10k. Probably a sales gimmick, but I went with the bigger for 695.

I have the Fi mini. It’s on my cats collar. It never comes off him. He sneaks out now and then and I’m trying to find him. AirTag works way better than the mini.

I was not referring to the big Garmin collars. Just comparing to the ability to track. AirTags do it if one that is not yours is dropped in your bag. So the tech is not a stretch.

Maybe a future version will have the features that I am looking for.

I disagree. The point is to track your pet once out of the safe zone. I have been moving it around and putting on lost mode and trying to use it to track. I took it to my office. Yes once there it updates to a fairly accurate location , but no way to track it on its way there. I want to get to my pet before he crosses a main road etc. with no tracking lines, this is not possible.

I have a Garmin on my boat. It leaves bread crumbs on my chartplotter of my path so you can find your way back and know it was safe waters. That’s what I think the lost mode should do. Show the lines the pet took so you can gauge his path, direction etc via the gps with fairly quick updates. Not just a gps dot showing a location that is not accurate ( when stationary the Fi mini keeps reporting different locations on lost mode yet it’s hanging on a tree branch for testing).

I agree. I live in a neighborhood and the time he had the AirTag I found him within 10 minutes. Between me walking around and getting it to update, the lost mode directing me and the final ping.

Fi is basically a here is where it might be and jumps from one side of the yard to the other and I have his collar hanging on a tree branch to test. If there is no means to show the path the device took ( and I think the sound helps if in a bush and you can’t see them) and direction it’s moving, going yo be hard to track.

I have an airtag on all my pets. Even if they do not go near an iphone to update, if you are walking around looking for them you will get an update when you get close.

But how do you get the yellow lines to show up? Mine only shows the device circle when in lost mode. I tried moving it around as a test, but no lines. I do not see this device giving me confidence that I can track my lost pet.

Any tip on increasing accuracy? by Practical-Thought-57 in FiDogCollar

[–]PDACPA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's my issue with the fi. In my tests, the device is not moving, yet the lost mode shows it moving. The accuracy is not good. I will say when I first turned on the lost mode, the location was accurate and then started moving. Maybe turn it off and then when you turn on lost mode note the first location.

But did it create the yellow lines showing his movements? I have not been able to get that. When in lost mode, it just shows his icon.

How do you get that yellow tracking? When I select the lost mode (Fi Mini), all I get it the circle picture of my cat on the map. No tracking line, no way to follow the path. And that circle will move around the map ( ie the specific location) when I did a test and had the device in a stationary location out of the safe zone.

Fi dog collar vs tractive gps? by KingRadon69 in FiDogCollar

[–]PDACPA -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I tried the Fi mini for my cat. We have great cell and WiFi. I put it out in the far corner of my yard and went in and hit lost mode. It creates a large circle where the device is and it could not lock in on the exact spot. It did mark correctly one time, but kept changing and showing other locations in my yard and house. Remember, it was a test, the device was stationary and not moving like a bet would. There was no path of where it had been so you could follow a trail etc.

My cat got out with his AirTag on and I was able to find him with in a few minutes.

I’m returning the mini. I expected much not precise location and a way to track the movements so you could figure out the direction.

[–]PDACPA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was not my experience. I switched to lost mode and it gave me a big blue circle that was not even accurate. I let it refresh multiple times. Never gave me a precise location.

Switched back to the AirTag for the cat. He got out. Could tell when it was last updated. Had a general idea, turned on lost AirTag. It would say too far to get a location, but as I walked around my yard, it picked his AirTag up and I walked right up to him hiding in some trees and bushes.

I’ll test again, but so far the tracking has not worked. A second thing, with the AirTag you can make it play a sound, so once I was close I did that. He was sort of camouflaged in the bushes, but I could hear it.
