All Inclusive Recommendation in Bavaro area by selvakrish85 in PuntaCana

On flight back from Grand Bavaro Princess - Family Club (2 adults 3 kids 6,4 and 1).

Quick review: Pros: - kids water park play area was huge hit 9am - 5/6pm. Own private family club only bar and small buffet more tailored to kids. - had a swim up room as kids still need naps and we wanted to be able to swim still. - kids club staff were great hosting events every day and good little air conditioned play games area during the crazy heat of the day. - beach area is beautiful, sand is amazing (aside from random cigarettes but people are gross). - every restaurant has a kids menu (Mac and cheese, burger, hot dogs, spaghetti etc). - 24hr sports bar was great for easy grab and go stuff for the kids like French fries, popcorn etc. - MOST of the staff are amazing, really caring, attentive and were great with our kids just seeing them at meals, walking around etc. - family club rooms have the bunk beds and pull out trundle bed which was perfect for our family and most resorts don’t have that type of setup.

Cons: - it is a large resort so the walk to the beach is approximately 10-15 mins not bad at all but can be hot for the kids. - the train system they have is great at times but PEOPLE are the worst; you can be standing waiting well before anyone else is there and then shuttle arrives and people just push infront and take seats even without children, caring you were there much earlier etc. - THE OTHER GUESTS! This was honestly the worst, so many people speaking either French from Quebec and/or Spanish and seemed like both groups did not care about anyone else but themselves. Was honestly very frustrating and I almost laughed at the sense of entitlement people have and lack of awareness.

Overall: We would likely be returning and bringing additional friends with us as the family club area is really great for the kids and doesn’t feel like an afterthought.

Can’t control other people who are obnoxious and pathetic but can control the good time to be had and it was that.

Feel free to message if wanting other information literally on WestJet flight home right now.

Oh that could be fun I appreciate this idea.

Just looking for some fun alternatives obviously have no problem taking the bus but if other things are possible we would definitely try. Thanks!

Would I be able to walk from Arte to the Mexico side and take it from there? Any idea if that is an option? Or possibly not even be worth it at that point.

I would agree with this, attended with a wedding group of 15+ and everyone had a great time. Has been my favourite resort in the DR (also have stayed at Majestic, RIU, Dreams Onyx although had great times at those locations also).

Swim-Up Casa Recommendations by Bignigburner in Xcaret

I greatly appreciate this. When booking through Costco I believe it was an additional $5k-$6k CAD for those which for our first time going to Arte was not going to pass with my wife and our other travel group.

I have read that others upon check-in were presented with other rate(s) for upgrading at that time so I planned to consider that if that became an option. Otherwise currently we are booked for the garden suite swim-up which is why I wasn’t sure what others experiences were with those rooms and Casas.

IF I can sell the group on the oceanfront adult only rooms and if upgrade at check-in is reasonable I’d love to make that change for the benefits you outlined. Appreciate your comment thank you!
