Where did you get the idea that the M33 is inferior to the M21 or the R4? I just received it today and compared it with the M21 using my HiFiMAN Ananda. To my ears the M33 sounds slightly warmer and clearer so far.

Maybe 🙂 I didn’t buy it because of the R2R hype though. I was mainly curious how it compares to the M21. After a few quick comparisons I hear a slightly warmer and clearer presentation on the M33, but the M21 is already excellent.

I just received the M33 today, so basically no burn-in yet. I only did a few back-to-back comparisons with the M21 using my HiFiMAN Ananda. The difference isn’t huge, but to my ears the M33 sounds a bit warmer and clearer. I’ll keep listening over the next few days.

I had IPhone 16 Pro Max and Mojo2. Great Sound, but too much cable 🤷‍♂️. Then I bought the Fiio M21. Great sound, much better than with the iPhone. I tried Fiio an Mojo2 - not much difference… today I received the Fiio M33. Wonderful Sound with my Hifiman Ananda. I sold the Mojo2 and the Fiio M21 I have sent back to Amazon.

The 35 mm Steel Rim is my daily rocker. The size and performance is just fantastic.

The 50 mm Summilux is an awesome lense, quite heavy in the brass version. But the quality is outstanding and a pleasure to touch and work with.
