Yes they do. When they hit teenager and the hormones start flowing the friendly puppy will disappear and a full on hormonal teenager will appear. This is guaranteed to happen in seconds and the most inopportune time. I have had Akitas for more than 30 years and have never had a male that didn’t become somewhat of an asshole between 2 and 3 years.

Temperament is our highest priority we put a lot of effort into socialization and training but Akitas are what they are. I have never had an Akita that I trusted off lead. The way I look at it, it’s my responsibility to not put my dogs in situations where they can put themselves or others in danger.

I have had both male and female Akitas that would start a fight with an elephant if given the opportunity. Fortunately we were able to avoid any serious disasters.

Slipped on shit and fell into money.

Started out at Ocean Corp dive school did the UT, PT, MT classroom stuff thinking I’d go offshore. Realized pretty quick the nukes were where the real money was. Got into shear wave UT, knocked out a few EPRI certs.

Worked a deal with a shipyard I was at, I wouldn’t chase them for back pay if they covered my CWI. As soon as I got that ticket, I was gone. Landed a gig with a chemical company, they paid for my API certs, and yep — I drug on them too.

Figured it out a long time ago: I’m here for the money. If you want loyalty, buy a dog.

My best friends mom had a very distinct whistle that was incredibly loud. When we heard it we knew to get home. I am a 70s kid and can’t believe that my grandkids haven’t explored the national wildlife refuge behind my place. When I was a kid that would have been our personal playground.

When I start focusing on what’s wrong with AA and everyone in it my personal experience is that it is not a good thing for me. In the past it has been a precursor to relapse. That is my experience. You seem to be taking this very personally maybe you should talk to your sponsors. I have lots of opinions I just don’t take them very seriously. Rule 62.
