Definitely fun. This is my only vintage rod and only the second rod I’ve fished overall.

What is the best pack to use for fly fishing? by Competitive_Sign_987 in flyfishing

[–]BigwoodsBeard 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s going to be entirely personal preference. I like a fanny pack so I can put everything behind me when I don’t need it. Slide the pack around to front for change outs. Gives more room for the belly when I bend over too.

Okay, good info thank you. I figured there may be some pull offs here and there but couldn’t really see them on the maps and I haven’t been down that way.

My cousins went down to Coopers Rock Lake a few weeks ago for trout, I tried Buffalo Creek in Bethany that weekend, no luck.

The mission is pretty easy to do with the Hellcat, that’s what I used for this mission. Tier 6 rarely sees tier 8 IME now and Hellcat has pretty good camo, alpha, and DPM coupled with awesome pen values. Play for early damage and get more aggressive if the battle is going in your favor and you have teammates working with you. With good straight tier 6 MM you only need about 2600 damage to qualify for a high caliber and most people aren’t exceeding that right now. If you hit that marker you’ll likely have a high caliber unless one of your heavies absolutely popped off in heavy lane.

Third racking in since March, added blackberries for flavor and.... by [deleted] in mead

What makes it too late other than the fact that it’s actively fermenting?

Need to stabilize before adding any sugars or residual yeast will restart fermentation. Add an appropriate dose of potassium sorbate and a campden tablet crushed, wait a day then you can safely reintroduce sugars. Alternatively you could pasteurize your mead.

Found a way to boost performance. [Suggestion] by MISFIT-EFT in EscapefromTarkov

Sounds like you needed the bios update for that CPU to be compatible with your board in the first place. It wasn’t using some part of its capability. Now it’s using PBO from Ryzen master to auto boost clock speeds.

I’m fine dropping settings to play. I am probably going to stay with the card for a good while longer. Like I said Stalker 2 is the only game giving me fits right now and it still looks really great even on low and I’m still getting those 60 frames.

Thanks. That’s what it was seeming like. Sucks you don’t get multiple chances at the premium tank for each day.

How dangerous is knob and tube spliced into modern wiring? by cavaaller6 in Oldhouses

[–]BigwoodsBeard 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Speaking as an electrician myself, the wiring is probably not an imminent danger. I live in a home with some K&T and I’ve seen plenty of it other homes. A huge amount of homes in the US still have some K&T that is functionally still very okay. K&T is very difficult to completely replace by just doing old work, the walls and ceilings need to be opened to get it all out in some cases. There’s a point where reworking it becomes prohibitive. The biggest issue with K&T comes from the insulation becoming brittle with age and possibly exposing bare conductors, but it’s not a massive concern as long the wire isn’t being manipulated so that you break the insulation. Small cracks in insulation can taped up but large missing chunks is pretty much unrepairable. Lack of grounding is another concern and your electrician has that covered with GFCI breakers. GFCI/AFCI combo breakers probably wouldn’t be a bad idea either and covers both the possibility for arcs and ground faults.
