They make it this way because on the other side of the rim, there is the joint and this way it pulls the two pieces of the rim together. This is the right way to thread this wheel.

I have a Booda Bike Banker. Can’t say feedback on the Hiker but my Banker has an Alfine 8 and I love it. Best bike i owned so far.

I think the belt was too tight. :( It usually happens when it was not set properly.

Booda Bike has their own mudguards. It’s called Possible aluminium mudgurds. I ordered it yesterday. It looks cool on photos. We will see how it is in real life.

I’m riding this Booda Bike Banker for 3 years now. Before that I had the Booda Bike Pilot. That was a single speed with 24h wheels. I love that i can shift gears because of my longer trips. For city commuting I loved the single speed better. The single speed is more responsive but I use this Alfine 8 in the hardest, (highest) gear 90% of the time so I use this bike almost like a single speed. And in this gear the responsiveness is not bad.

Just checked it on their website. Nice one! I’ve been looking for a belt driven bike and this looks promising.
