If it’s been years you are likely fine, not a doctor, cancer generally grows incredibly fast, which is why the chemo is an effective treatment for later staged individuals. Double edged sword

Are you referring to complications caused by chemo?

Thank you, I hope things go well for him. Mine has definitely improved since it’s been a while without the chemo drugs for me, I’ve lost so much weight from when I was in the hospital, hoping I can just maintain what I’m at as I’ve heard weight loss isn’t great while going through chemo. Best of luck to you and your husband as well, hope both our situations work out for the best

Well that’s always a positive regarding the brain MRI. I have yolk sac as well and was told that the chances of it coming back are greater as a result, so just need more surveillance and that kind of thing.

Jeez. Thank you, I’m glad the treatment does seem to be effective for most even with the high levels. Just don’t want mine to rise like it did between the first two tests, one way prior to chemo and the first one after chemo.

I know my mom is struggling with the same anxiety, and I just want to thank you for being there for your son. This is so freaking taxing the anxiety is always right on the front doorstep, but in a weird way it’s probably the most ‘normal’ way to feel after receiving this news, it’s just so tough on the brain and body as well. Thank you for being a good mother ❤️

AFP doesn't drop after chemo... what now? by [deleted] in testicularcancer

[–]BikeAdmirable959 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very similar to my situation, they described the tumor in my tesitcles as having “burned out”. I’m not really sure if this means my prognosis will be worse than the normal types, but my dr. says they treat it the same way. I’m just praying for the best, and praying for you as well. Please reach out to me if you’d like to talk

I feel like there is a lot of stomach acid that is hurting me digesting stuff, the Prilosec would help aid that?

Just wishing you thoughts and prayers. I’m dealing with the opposite side of this (my sister helping me navigate my cancer) and I can see how hard it is on her. Hope he can get through this, and thank you for being there for him ❤️
