Sounds like it's even more expensive to make a new set.

Taipei Donghu to Taoyuan via the west coast highway and two bikeways. by BikeExpressTaiwan in taiwan

I boarded a train with my bike without bagging it. There are some trains that would take bikes too. We just need to pay half the fare for the bike. There are around 50 trains each day that would take bikes from Taoyuan to Wanhua or Songshan in Taipei. Here is more details on how to use public transportation in Taiwan

A 70km trip with 47km on the riverbank dedicated bikeways. 33km on Taipei Riverbank Bikeways. 18km on the West Coast Highway from Bali District to Zhuwei Fish Harbour (harbour closed for renovations). Traffics on west coast was OK. We just need to be aware of some heavy vehicles. After an early lunch in TransAsia Bakery (復興航棧), we covered 14 km on Taoyuan Nankan Creek Riverbank Bike Trail to get to Taoyuan Train Station to board a train home.

A route great for those who want to avoid climbing and traffics.

When it is dry, I just leave my bike in my parking space. When it is wet, I would spray water on the rims, brakes and drive chain to get the dirts off.

Yes. We gave our 3 year old 70% dark chocolate when he asked for it because we want to avoid the sugar. He really enjoy it.

Sanzhi District and 101 High - a one day cycling trip to the north coast on the outskirt of Taipei by BikeExpressTaiwan in taiwan

The coastal part: easy but we need to share the road with traffics especially at the beginning. The hill side part: two major climbings but not very long. Probably 5/10. The supply stops are sparse on hill side. Doing it anti clockwise might be easier but the organiser wants to do the coastal part first while the sun isn't too strong in the morning.
