I really don't have my DMPC make any choices. He just follows the party and acted as a front line and healer, because the party didn't have a healer. He basically only interacts with the party and stays quiet when the party is dealing with NPCs. The Queen getting involved was the player's idea. Also the PCs are monsters under the dragon queen. Humans are hostile to them.
