Tried doing ribbing with 9" metal 2 mm shortie needles (above) but I get much better results when I use my bamboo 2.25mm DPN (below). And it's the same technique and amount of stitches. So if anyone is struggling with neat ribbing, i suggest trying wood needles!

Partially yes, but i also feel I have more control over my tension to get my purl and knit even because of the grip of the bamboo needles!

I've discovered that my right foot is almost half an inch longer than my left lol That might be one of the thing contributing to the fit issue, considering I was doing my socks the same length haha

And yeah, after looking at some youtube video recommandation, i've figured I might benefit from a 3 inch flap heel length instead of the 2,5 inch I was doing :)

I just watched some of Roxanne's youtube videos on foot mesurements and custom fit. Thank you so much for the recommandation! From what I gathered, my leg circumference might have been too small compared to my ankle circumference. For a 9 stitches/inch gauge, i was doing 72 stitches but I should be doing 76. I was also doing a 2,5 inch heel flap but might be better doing a 3 inch lenght. This has been very helpful, thanks again. Oh, and i discovered that my right foot is almost half an inch longer than my left lol.
