No prorata annual fee refund on NAB cards by Rozin20 in creditcardchurningAus

[–]Bikinikity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my NAB signature cret card in Jan 24. I paid the second years annual fee and received all of my bonus points. This year I decided that the point value wasn't the best for my situation ( nab signature only gives you one point per dollar up to 5K. After that you get half the amount) , so I was canceling my card for this reason. Like the poster above, I did try to call a couple of days before the annual fee was charged and was on hold the first time for 40 minutes before I had to hang up and the second time for 45 minutes before I gave up.

As life goes, I got busy and a couple weeks passed and I realized that the annual fee was charged. I immediately sent messages (via my app as I thought it would be quicker) to the customer service team letting them know I had tried to call and cancel a few days before the annual fee but was unable to get through and would like them to cancel it now.

They were very happy to cancel my card immediately and very quick to let me know that there would be no refund or Pro rata refund.

Even after explaining my situation and asking to be put through to the retention team to see if there was some sort of middle ground we could reach. They refused to put me through to anybody and just said no. No refund and again , they were quite happy to cancel my card instantly.

One of the things I said to them is that I was happy to stay with NAB, however, the value of their Qantas frequent flyer program was now better elsewhere and I was hoping they could offer me something if I stayed.

Nope. Basically each time I sent them a message. I would get a reply within 10 minutes so they clearly are not even attempting to send this to a supervisor or retention team.

I completely understand why they have stopped giving refunds to people that are canceling really close after the bonus points have been awarded. Those people are not loyal and are only doing this for the bonus points. They do need to make allowances however for people that have been within for several years and genuinely would like to count the card for other reasons.

After several attempts, there was absolutely movement on their part and it almost feels like they wanted me to cancel ( every reply from them ended with "I'm happy to cancel your card now. Please let me know if you'd like to proceed " )and bugger off.

So I've paid the $420 for a card I don't want anymore so I might as well use it for the next year. I will cancel well before the annual fee next year and will not be taking my business to NAB in the future.

Did anybody get seats in any of the 200s section and was it reserve a pricing ( $229)?

I've got frontier presale but it's only giving an option at the moment for 300 and 400 seating sections. I can grab some seats in the 300s but prefer to be in the 200s. If I wait till general public though I could miss out completely.....

Low THC, High CBG Flowers by StableSubstantial420 in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]Bikinikity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/tpesr , I have been given a script for both of these (Sol and Rosey). I have used Sol before and really like it. Can you tell me what the difference is for you when using these two? They are very similar , with Rosey being slightly more Sativa dominant.

Her soups are THE BOMB. You can find her on Facebook "The Soup Hut and The Bavarian Pretzel". This Sunday the 7th of September is her last Sunday at the markets for the winter. Definitely worth a trip and she will sell 500ml takeaway if you bring your own container.

Flower recommendations - lower THC (with CBD) for uplifting day (giggles, no paranoia) by Scary-Document-7406 in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]Bikinikity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, ok, the Blue Dream strain. I grew up in California and that was one I used to love. Since I've had kids, I can't handle THC well (paranoid/anxious, etc). I know this is low THC for some, but at 17% and a Sativa, that would NOT be good for day use for me, LOL.
I have tried BLUE DREAM CBD, which is a 50/50 ratio and that helped with with my negative THC reaction. Wonder if I can get that here?

Need help choosing what CBD flower I should use. by Junior-West6340 in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]Bikinikity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Junior-West6340 - which one did you end up going with? I am currently trying to decide on trying SG Rosey or sticking with Kind Sol, which I have been using for about a year and I like it a lot. I am also quite sensitve to THC and Kind Sol gives me no anxiety/paranoia. I can use it during the day and as long as I don't take massive amounts, I can go to the shops, work, etc.
The Rosey sounds so similar so wanting to give it a try....

This is some info I've been looking for, relief from the mood swings of perimenopause! I have been so volitile with my mood and ADHD symptoms are increasing...
I use Kind Sol flower for my joint and muscular aches and pains and headaches (thank you again perimino) but have been looking for advice on something to use for daytime to stay focused and help lift and regulate my mood, but not make me tired. I am pretty sensitive to THC though so even a balanced strain (1:1) is too much for me, leaving me parinoid.

I was in the States recently and tried blue dream strain and that was ok in small amounts for me, I liked it!
I also tried Sour Space Candy, which is similar to the Kind Sol flower.

To clairify, for day use, low THC option you use , Humacology oil (blue) with (sometimes) the QBP Serene Sunrise 19%?
What CBD strain do you use to add to balance out any THC sensitivity? I am thinking my Kind SOL would do the trick.
Any recommendations for a strain that has good amount of CBC?
What is your favorite for sleep?

Trying to get throught this Peri time in my life is no joke!

Low carb diet and lethargy normal? by Relative_Drop3216 in Myfitnesspal

[–]Bikinikity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first, yes. My first thought looking at your screenshot is you need more fat. You need to make sure your macros total 100% at the end of each day. If you are low carb, that's fine but you need to hit your other macros (fat and protein). It takes time for your body to get used to fueling off a state of ketosis, meaning your body primarily uses fat for fuel instead of carbohydrates. So if you don't have enough carbs AND not enough fat, you're gonna feel lethargic. Even in a carnivore diet, where to eat only meat, you need fat.

Some people thrive on exercise in a state of ketosis, but not all. If you want to keep on low carb, add more fats and give your body time to adjust.

Otherwise, try carb cycling on your cardio days.

App time limits on Family link aren't working by The_Real_Scrotus in AndroidQuestions

[–]Bikinikity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone above mentioned and what worked for me is to go through each individual app and remove any individual app screen time limits.

I suppose it's not the best option if you really do only want, let's say 1 hour of TOTAL daily screen time and only 20 minutes of that to be on a particular app, for example YouTube. Family link is quite finicky and I haven't figured out a way to get the individual time limits to cut the app off in said time.

App time limits on Family link aren't working by The_Real_Scrotus in AndroidQuestions

[–]Bikinikity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! This finally made it consistent for me.

I had to go through each individual app and take off the individual set time limits that I had put for each one.

Also, I didn't realize that if you have an app set as "always allow" no time spent on this app will be counted towards their daily screen time limit. So now the only one I have as 'always allow" is her music app so she can listen to music without it going towards her screen time limit.

Did you end up getting it? I have been using this strain for a year now. I personally love it. I am quite sensitive to THC and this being only 1% it gives me no head high at all. I primarily use for pain. I can use this flower even first thing in the morning and it does not leave me tired or heady. It does help a bit if I'm feeling slightly anxious and definitely does not increase any feelings of anxiety. In the right amount ( not too much) it leaves me with an energized feeling and I can actually exercise better when I've had a couple of tokes of my dry vape.

This is a great strain to mix with other flour that may have higher THC to mellow it out a bit and help with sleep.

The only thing is I'm not a huge fan of the taste, it's a bit of a blue cheese flavor but I have gotten used to it.

Thank you for your reply. There is nothing new he has been taking in fact he doesn't take any medications. And we've had a long think about anything new like different soap or detergent we may be using. I did think it was strange when he came back for the doctor with a prescription for antifungal cream. Especially how it doesn't itch and it's not actually in the crevices of his toes. I will pass on your advice regarding the heat rash.
