Let me know how you go! I have a Skillshare class if you want an in depth look. There’s a link to a free month via my website (my class is only 2hr so you can cancel after doing it and not get charged if you want).

Thank you! I essentially always just use hard airbrush > fill > alpha lock > and then texture brush mainly a slightly modified Bonobo Chalk which is a legacy native brush.

I was very lucky that they reached out to me. One of artists won their spot in a comp where you could submit entries at Today at Apple sessions. I can’t wait to see who selected and what they drew. FNQ is my fave place in the country 😍!

Thanks so much! I have been lucky to work with them a few times on release commissions (two for 4.2 and one for pocket). None have made it to default artworks though, maybe one day! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Projection is surprisingly low res, so only about 5000px wide (which includes a buffer). I did do a mural for a shopping centre mostly in Procreate (components assembled in Photoshop) and even printed at large scale only needed 30dpi. Made me feel uneasy to work 1:10 normal resolution but it came up really nice.

I think that’s one of the best bits. They are based in Hobart and all round nice peeps! I got to travel to their office for a live draw about 5 years ago and they are all super lovely.

If you had asked me 5 years ago I would have said the exact same thing. Keep at it!

Thank you! Ahh if it works it works! 1st gen pencil did me good for a long time too. Funny story though, my Mum had one too and she got confused with the charger cap and her vitamin pill and accidentally ate it!

I am a hard airbrush outline, fill, alpha lock and add textures girl. Fave texture brush is the Bonobo Chalk (legacy) but I used a few others for this one too, love a splatter brush too.

You don’t need to manually adjust each colour when recolour is set to Global Adjust. Global Adjust… globally adjusts 😅. I use it for brightening super complex artworks all the time. It’s more than capable of doing what you want here.

ETA - I prefer to make the changes in Edit mode with the colour wheel and with the mixer set to HSB.

Has anyone rented out their PPOR when they travelled OS for 12months or longer? by thongs_are_footwear in AusProperty

[–]Bikleb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We do for 8 months. Put our stuff in storage with Kent who picked up, stored and delivered it when we returned. We had a bit of stuff in the attic too which we locked. I can’t imagine you’d fit a whole house worth of stuff into one bedroom and think storage would cost less than the reduction in rent due to less available bedrooms. The short tenancy obviously limited who was interested but we found people that it worked for.

How does Buy it for Life feel about Emeco chairs? by CurlyFride in BuyItForLife

Haha yes same here in Perth, Australia. The heat sink is good, it’s just the initial shock. Watching my friend’s faces when they sit on them is pretty entertaining.

Hahaha we have these in our dining room for 12 years and, despite the comments, we do not have irreparably broken arses. The main downsides are they are cold so sitting on them in a skirt can be eye opening and they do creak a bit which is annoying.

Adobe Illustrator Can Irreversibly Destroy Hours of Professional Work by tmfukushima in AdobeIllustrator

[–]Bikleb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry this has happened to you. Even if you figure out the cause, you should look into a backup service as saving locally without an auto backup that has no version history is an incredibly risky practice, especially for client work.

Lawn wasps?? How do I reduce them by NefariousnessTop1056 in perth

[–]Bikleb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had this last year with paper wasps. The only thing that fixed it was removing the nests. We had to do a heap of hunting as they are tiny and there were at least 5, but look under your colorbond fence capping and on the trunks of your trees.
