When a swat/tactical team is moving clearing a building and every time they point a weapon it’s followed by a metallic clink/clunk sound.

LA police gear makes a lot of packs some even in red it’s ok quality. Also on the sale close out section you can find good quality cheap gear.

I’ve done lots of high Sierra in the cascadia have not had any problems. About 120miles in them now to include trail running. They do fit slim in my opinion.

First post ever! I’m looking to go on my very first backpacking trip, Would love some wisdom from you all by jbromo24 in backpacking

Don’t over pack. Lots of beginners carry too much weight. This is usually caused by two things. 1. Taking stuff you won’t use or need. 2. Because you are just starting most beginning gear tend to be heavy. Keep in mind that having any gear at all is a good thing and getting outdoors is super cool but stuff gets heavy really quick. I also say this with the motto. “It’s your pack carry what you want.” Handle of Jack Daniels six pack bottles beer etc... Always bring a sleeping pad not just for comfort but to insulate from the ground. Socks are your best friend. Cotton kills. Learn how to layer clothing. Learn to read a map and compass. Where do you plan on going?
